Update on 13 Jan 2024: We received a gift card so we went to Ruby Tuesday on 41A. It was a huge mistake. First, we requested to sit in a different table than the one we were offered because the table was dirty. After we were seated, we didn't see a waiter or waitress for 30 minutes. When the waiter showed up, he apologized. He said that the Hostess never informed him that we were there.
I don't know if Ruby Tuesday has a Childrens Menu, because even though we had two small children with us, we were never offered a Childrens Menu.
We ordered a Full Rack of Ribs Texas Dry Rub with Fries. We requested 4 plates so we could split the ribs. When the waiter brought the plates out, the plates were sopping wet and still had food debris on them. When he went back to get clean plates for us, he had to give us little bread plates because all of the other plates "...have to be rewashed...". It grossed me out and made me question the cleanliness of everything in the restaurant.
The order came out really quick and the ribs were cold. Not just not warm, they were literally cold. We sent the ribs back to be reheated, and when they came back the second time they were still not hot; they were room temperature at best. So my wife took the ribs up front herself and requested that they please heat them properly. When the ribs came back the third time, they were finally hot enough to eat. The ribs tasted good, but by the time we finally got to eat them, I had lost my appetite.
By this point, I was expecting the Manager to show up to ask us about our meal, but she was a no-show. The waiter apologized again and told us that the Manager was not going to make any compensation for the poor quality service and offered to pick up our bill himself.
I have been to this particular restaurant multiple times, and every single time there is a question about the cleanliness of the restaurant, extraordinary wait times, and generally poor service. I will...
Read moreWe attempted to check out Ruby Tuesday on Valentine's Day since they had a cool little sweetheart meal posted online. My husband got the salmon and some zucchini. The salmon was decent, he said the zucchini was hard and rubbery. I ordered a steak (medium) and a baked potato. The steak came out more medium rare, I cut it and immediately knew it was under so I let the server know and she took it back. Being in the food service industry myself I really hate to send anything back but thought I should since I wanted to enjoy our evening. It came back out cut into many pieces and over done- well done. I honestly didn't even think it was the steak I ordered to begin with and mentioned it to the manager, in which she said it was and that she personally "fixed" it. I give her a little credit for attempting to fix it, but ultimately it was not edible for me. I tried a taste and couldn't eat it. We literally sat there about 15 minutes after that waiting to let someone know that it wasn't what I wanted and that I did not want anything else to eat. The manager said she would take my steak off the bill and to go ahead and order my dessert bc it was included in the meal. The bill came and we were charged for my husband's meal but mine was taken off BUT we were charged $7 for the piece of cake!? It is what it is. Needless to say this is why I typically cook dinner every night at home. I doubt we...
Read moreAbsolutely awful service here. The restaurant was only 1/3 full. Our waitress needs to seek employment elsewhere. With a table of three we ordered two sweet teas and an unsweetened tea. Our waitress brought three sweet teas. We ordered the sampler appetizer. It was delivered by a waitress other than our server and came out missing the queso sauce. When we asked about it she said they were out of it and offered a different cheese sauce. I ordered my dinner with ceaser salad and loaded baked potato. Our waitress said they didn't have the ceaser salad due to the salmonella outbreak in the romaine and recall. I ordered the steamed broccoli instead. After few minutes passed our waitress came back out to the table and said that they were out of potatoes. I said "seriously?" and her response was "hey I just work here" and laughed about it. I ordered a garden salad. A few minutes later she returns and informs me that again because of the romaine recall the only available salad was at the salad bar. When I went to the salad bar to get my salad I found dirty plates. A server no matter what restaurant should know what the restaurant is out of before they go to the table the first time. Even if the restaurant is out of 5-6 items from the menu the server should know it. I will never visit this restaurant again. The waitress obviously does not take her job seriously or even...
