My daughter wanted to have her 8th birthday party here, and against my better judgment, I still allowed it. Parking was terrible coming in, and there was a line wrapped around the building for entry. The building looks run down on the outside, so the inside was not much different. I was told to come 15 minutes early, so I had to fight through the large crowd of people to get to the door. I reached the counter, and the lady behind the counter was extremely curt and the exact definition of "nice nasty." I can't recall her name but full description she was what appeared to be a white woman with glasses and dark brown hair wearing a plaid shirt this past Saturday night. I'm not sure if she's a part of management or an owner, but she could use a crash course in common courtesy. She proceeded to rudely explain the rules to the establishment while wishing to personally inspect all of our items coming in. Mind you, there is still a line outside, and we are scheduled for a "timed" event. After finally making it through such scrutiny, we are seated in their party section with three other parties. Time is now about 5:15 ish. Half of our party is still outside 😐. By about 5:30 people are still trying to get inside and we havent been offered beverages or the pizza we pre-ordered, yet they are coming to tell us the event is time and that everyone must be out of this section by 7. During this time, a patron that they have refused service comes and busts the window. Apparently, the person they sent out to patch up the window is the same person who was supposed to have taken our order "allegedly." At least this is what she says when she finally shows up with this incorrect bill. Granted, they corrected the bill eventually, but still, it was a terrible party for a child. Making party guests wait in a line wrapped around the building, yet having a "timed" event is equivalent to stealing time. How can a party start without the party guests? What's worse is the staff was pretty rude to the children.... except the middle-aged white guy who seemed sensible enough. He actually showed my daughter kindness as the first lady had neglected to give her a game card, and it was her birthday 🙄. Overall, this probably isn't a place to host a party or to take children. In all honesty, the place could use a face lift. Maybe two ways to the skate floor and to remove the obstruction in the back? Update to concessions and possibly another to the staff . Surely, some diversity can't hurt, especially since you're serving a diverse crowd. Overall, I'm extremely dissatisfied with the level of service we received from...
Read moreThis place is amazing! I am a speed skater and attend twice a month. I am a broke individual with a little boy, and we often go. People complaining about the price are absurd! You can enjoy almost 5 hours of skating for $13 at night time. It's crazy to complain about that price. I usually get a small locker and gatorade. So I am out $20 for 5 hours of entertainment. Unless I bring my boy to play in the park, then it is closer to $35.
You can also order food that is reasonably priced. So people complaining about that too are absurd. The only suggestion I would have is with the pizza. Maybe get a warmer and offer slices per price instead of a whole pizza.
Overall, the complaints here are really absurd when it comes to pricing and food. If your kids can't skate, that seems like their issue and you are complaining that they sell equipment for an extra charge to help your child skate and keep them safe instead of buying them for at home use to teach them to skate then coming here when they are able to skate better. Why would they lend equipment that could break for free? It makes no sense.
The place is huge. The price per hour of entertainment is unmatched. Go watch a movie and spend an hour and a half sitting while spending $30+ dollars on concessions. Then come here and tell me you get the same value.
5 stars. One small complaint, which isn't really a drag down. When it gets busy, the regulation of skaters on the rink should be enforced a bit more, especially fast skaters being on the outside and slow skaters in the middle and inner part of the rink. I know personally that I help skaters up when they fall, and sometimes people hold up the rink in slow-chains or linking up. Also, I have to throw us speed skaters under a bus. Some folks have no regard for others and train skate between young kids and immediately cut in front of them. I think this is more a self-awareness issue and lack of compassion...
Read moreWe decided to throw a party here for two of the younger kids. We had an elderly family member who is diabetic being refused water, they tried to charge 8 dollars for a pitcher of tap water. Not only did they not cater to free water they also had a problem with the different languages that were being spoken during the party. They continued to harass the party and knit pick on things that we had for the party and even stoop as low as saying we were using fawl language in our cultural language. The manager then continued to racial profile the guest until some just had enough and left. I would not recommend any one especially those of other cultures to go to this place because instead of having a good time they’ll just find reasons for you to leave.
The manager is a racist and the staff does not cater to the sick and elderly.
And to pretend their are not racist they hire fake looking Spanish that don’t speak a lick of Spanish. They knew they are wrong. The place looks abandoned. At least the old owners weren’t racist. This place has completely gone down hill. Sad people that fight for their country and have been to war have to come back and be treated this way. I served in Iraq and never would I have thought a vet would be treated this way.
To all of my military families read the previous posts. We are not the only blended family that has been harassed and singled out by this business even after spending so much money. Take your business else where. They are not family oriented or...
