Burritos Fresh Mexican Grill - Fort Campbell — Restaurant in Clarksville

I usually go for Chipotle after the gym, but today I decided to try something different. When you first walk into the place, it looks a bit run-down, and the menu is a little confusing. But ordering is just like at Chipotle. I ordered two burritos with two medium drinks, and the total was $36. Both burritos had queso; one was steak with extra, and the other was chicken.

I didn't like the queso at all; it was extremely watery. The portion of meat was definitely more than what I'd normally get from Chipotle, so I did like that. However, the chicken was very dry. I asked for onions, but they gave me so much that it was like eating worms; I ended up picking them out because it was grossing me out.

I'll probably go back again, but I'll have to adjust my order so that I like it better.

So, I returned yesterday to give this place another try since the reviews were all raving about the quality and flavor. The owner (I believe) was the one serving me, and his customer service truly was impeccable—it made a huge difference in the quality of the food. He convinced me to stick with my order of al pastor and chorizo and egg since they both needed to be made fresh on the spot (took about 3-5 minutes). He made sure there was a generous portion of meat, which showed he really cared about making sure you got your money's worth. He was remarkably kind and passionate about the food he was making.

This time around, I ordered one burrito and a taco bowl, and it did not disappoint. The food had so much flavor! We had one large drink, a taco bowl with al pastor + queso, and a burrito with chorizo and egg + queso. Our total was $31, and this time it was definitely worth it; I cannot wait to go back! I won't be returning to...

2021 UPDATE: This restaurant is still not worth the price especially now that they are price gouging due to Covid-19. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! ORIGINAL REVIEW⤵️ I went here tonight, and the service was extremely poor. Now, I have visited this establishment many times, and never have I left feeling this irritated. Maybe it was just the night crew, but the woman working the register literally spent ten minutes flirting with the three military guys while I was waiting to check out. I'm fairly certain that her boss doesn't pay her to flirt. Now, I understand that this is a military town. However, my time is just as valuable as theirs, especially since I'm actually paying full price. Then when she finally does ring me up. She forgets my chips, drink, and salsa that I just paid premium for. Seriously, you want to charge me for something, but can't focus long enough to give it to me. Perhaps civilian money isn't good enough for this establishment. The final nail in the coffin was the woman prepping my food. It would have been nice if she listened to me when I was ordering. Instead of just rushing me through the line, making me repeat myself multiple times, and putting stuff on my burrito I did not want. Ya'll upgraded the signage behind them, but truthfully you need to upgrade some of your staff. I definitely will start considering the drive to Chipotle's...

My husband and I went here for the first time more then 11 years ago. The staff was always courteous and you definitely got plenty of food or the price. Plus we really enjoyed the quality of the food. Full of flavor. This became our favorite place to swing by once or twice a month. However we always purchased the food to go and ate it at home. Visibly they place was clean even though the building is old. Fast forward 11+ years and we are again frequenting this place. Again we place the orders to go and eat at home. I was not sure if over the years this place had gone down, but nope. Food is just as good and the portion size is still a good amount. Employees have changed and I believe a new menu set up, but pretty much the same. From our experience the employees have always been really nice and service has always been pretty quick. We are now grabbing food from here at least once a month. My husband and I pretty much load up our burritos with everything, even the hot stuff. Yum!!
