Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Clayton

This was bar far one of my worst chick fil-a experiences. I will start by saying its Nov 26 and I am traveling home from my Thanksgiving family get together so I understand it may have been busier than usual but the staff did nothing to help the situation. As a former Chick fila employee (I worked there for 4 plus years at a top 3 store in Florida) so I know and understand from experience how they work and operate and this is not it. We got in line at 10:20 looking to get breakfast, it was a long line but I felt comfortable waiting knowing chick fil-a is quick and they would get us through and in time for breakfast, and if not then I assumed that since we are in line before 10:30 they should have served us breakfast or at least offered a Digital offer coupon for the wait.

But boy was I wrong, we proceeded to wait in line for 22 mins and past the breakfast end time. As we waited we watched only two order takers take orders very slowly and with little to no enthusiasm or friendliness. Each would take a single order and then make the drinks but only one drink at a time with no concern to hurry and get to the next customer. After about 10 mins of waiting both order takers finished their orders and drinks and then proceeded to stock their area and get more lemonade and tea all before then going and taking a personal drink break of about thirty seconds. I say all of this and it sounds like im ranting however I do again come from chick fil-a background (and so does my wife at the same store for 6 plus years) so we understand this situation completely and have been in it many times. I'm not so much frustrated with the order takers but more so with the management who left them out to dry and struggle for more than an hour, especially when the would check the length of the line make eye contact with customers and do nothing to help. All right well this place is absolute worst, I was trying to use up my Chick-fil-A credit just to get it over with so I could be done with this place. I come home and it's diarrhea City. Seriously, what is going on at this restaurant. Screw the credit, lessons learned.

So this place went under a major renovation, yet they still serve the same old slop. Old fries, sandwich etc 🙄.

I will never go to this place ever again until someone else takes over. For these prices you could just go to a restaurant and possibly get a better meal.

Do you like spending $20 to get food that is old as dirt? Do you like getting an order that's wrong? Do I have the place for you. I am done wasting money on this place, hoping for something good.

What is with the local fast food places these days? Jesus.

This place has gone down hill. Very inconsistent food, no matter when you go. Think you'll get fresh stuff when it's dinner time? Nope. I Iove chik fil a, but am not willing to pay for trash food.

The new owner Jay couey definitely is putting a lot of effort, working the drive-thru line etc.

However the real problem here is the kitchen, the food is too inconsistent. Yesterday's food was terrible, overcooked fries or left on the heat lamp too long, The smokehouse BBQ sandwich I had look like it was thrown together in about half a second and tasted old. And on to top it off the diet dr. Pepper was very weak almost flat tasting too much water? I don't know.

Hopefully Jay can hire more competent people in kitchen that cares about what they put out.

I want to update my review with some new pictures and a comment about the cleanliness of the restaurant. We generally eat at this restaurant two to three times per month, and they make the tastiest Chick-fil-A sandwich that we've ever had. this is a very high-volume restaurant with a lot of customers. They usually do a good job and get you in and out quickly. But the reason I'm riding the review today is because of their consistently dirty bathrooms and it doesn't matter when you when you go to the restaurant. We had a couple of sandwiches there today and I went to the bathroom before we left, and this is what I saw in the pictures. Now this is not uncommon, but as I was walking to the restroom there were two teenage workers sitting in the eating area on their phone, another worker eating her lunch break salad, and I go into the restroom and see the toilet blown up. I just didn't have the patience to put the toilet seat down to clean it and to deal with someone else's filth. I've cleaned toilets before both as a job and just to keep my own house clean, but it really irritates me that this gold mine of a Chick-fil-A restaurant cannot keep its restrooms more clean on a consistent basis. Like I said we probably eat here two to three times a month, we always enjoy the food, but I'm just fed up with the filthy restrooms. Hire someone to clean them don't be greedy and make your restaurant sparkle.

Until we go there and see that the restrooms are cleaned up, I will continue to post.
