Recently checked out the new bar in Clayton. The interior is peaceful and moody. A welcome change from of the loud and over stimulated bars that you can’t hear your conversations. Which makes this a perfect pick for an intimate date night. It’s clear they put much thought into the interior which looks to be more for couples than large groups.

The drinks were well crafted and they had a large list of seasonal choices on a beautifully displayed menu.

We sat at the bar because we wanted a light conversation. The bar tender barely spoke to us. We aren’t asking for chatty Cathy but bartenders should be able to at least make you feel welcome.

The lack of a crowd on a Friday evening was a bit surprising and a bit concerning for a new spot. Building was a bit hard to locate and when we saw it empty we almost didn’t go in. In a overly saturated bar town I this is a great low key spot. If you want sexy date night and hear each other...

Hands down one of the best bars I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is always on point great music, welcoming vibe, and just the right mix of energy whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or staying all night.

Tierra is easily one of the best bartenders I’ve ever met friendly, attentive, and somehow always remembers exactly what I like to drink. She makes every visit feel personal. And Yuli, the owner, sets the tone for the whole place. You can tell she really cares about both her staff and her customers, which makes the bar stand out from the rest.

I love this new edition to downtown Clayton night life!! Church Spirits and Cocktails is definitely one of my favorites!! This bar is small and spacious all at the same time. They offer great drink selections! I love every drink I have tried on the fall and winter menu! The bartenders are knowledgeable, attentive and friendly! Every drink is made with such care and passion. I enjoy the ambiance and the music is the perfect level of volume (not to mention a AMAZING selection of music too)!!
