I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mama Vallones in Cle Elum, WA, and I can confidently say that it serves some of the best hometown Italian food in the area. Nestled within an old home, this restaurant provides a charming and cozy atmosphere that adds a touch of nostalgia and warmth to the dining experience.
As I entered Mama Vallones, I couldn't help but admire the unique layout of the restaurant. The little areas with tucked-away seating near windows offered a perfect mix of privacy and a view to the outside world. It felt like I was having a quiet, romantic evening with my family, creating a truly memorable ambiance.
Now, on to the star of the show: the food. Mama Vallones prepares Italian cuisine that is made with love and finesse. One dish that truly stole the show was the Pasta Fagioli Soup. It was a soup lover's dream come true. The rich, hearty broth was bursting with flavor and brimming with tender pasta, creamy beans, and aromatic herbs. Every spoonful was a delight, and I couldn't help but savor each bite.
What impressed me most about Mama Vallones was their ability to cater to everyone's tastes, even the little ones. Even my children, typically picky eaters, were drawn to the Pasta Fagioli Soup and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was heartwarming to see them delight in the same flavors that charmed my palate.
Apart from the outstanding soup, Mama Vallones offers a wide variety of authentic Italian dishes that will please any food enthusiast. From classic pasta dishes to mouthwatering seafood creations, their menu showcases the depth and diversity of Italian cuisine.
The service at Mama Vallones was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like cherished guests. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring that our evening was nothing short of perfect.
To experience Mama Vallones is to experience a genuine taste of Italy with a touch of local charm. The combination of exceptional food, cozy ambiance, and exceptional service creates an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a quiet dinner for two or a memorable evening with family and friends, Mama Vallones in Cle Elum, WA, is the...
Read moreMy wife and I visited MaMa Vallone's today, I don't typically take the time to write reviews but were pretty disappointed in the food. The server was nice, polite, and attentive, however for the prices we were expecting much more from the food. I ordered the 16oz ribeye steak with the house cut fries and house salad, the salad was what you would expect, and pretty tasty so as a carnivore to the depths of my being I was pretty excited for the steak... Boy was I disappointed, it was cooked rare as I requested but was probably more like 10-12oz not 16oz like I paid for. MaMa's special blend marinade and spices is apparently a complete lack thereof, the steak was completely flavorless, I'm not even sure how someone goes about ruining this cut of meat (if it even was a ribeye) as it is typically my favorite cut. The fries were dry and overcooked, it seemed like they were cooked too long in an air fryer. My wife got the cheese ravioli with Alfredo and meat balls.. The sause tasted like it was out of a jar, lacked flavor, and the meatballs were literally hamburger balls again with a complete lack of seasoning or flavor. Mind you these two plates of food and a couple of soft drinks was $65.. Neither of us finished our plates and joked about how we should have just gone to Taco Bell for our anniversary dinner. Please don't waste your money. PS I really hate writing this about a small business but we literally could have gotten far better food at a chain steak house for...
Read moreI rate this restaurant five stars as they serve the best prime rib I have ever had. I definitely recommend stopping by this place when traveling along I90. Note this town also has a tesla super charging station, which makes it a perfect stop for EV.
However, the critics from other reviewers also make a lot of sense. I will explain why I still rate this place 5 stars and my advice how to address it. (1) some low ratings indicated that this place is pricy, compared with nearby restaurants in town. However, given the tasty food and convenience to travel from/to the Seattle area, the price is quite acceptable for people who really loves steaks. (2) waiter/waitress does not care about having new customers. I have experienced exactly the same as some reviewers did: no one greets you at the entrance. Some left one-star as they left after waiting for quite a while. Also, when I asked the waiter for recommendation, I was being told like this "well, everything is very delicious"... Well, that is the coldest answer I have ever got. You know, maybe they are so proud of themselves and satisfied with existing customers.
So my advice to avoid bad experiences as some Google reviewers had (1) just enter the restaurant and find someone by yourself if you are not greeted at the entrance for a few minutes, do not be shy and wait endlessly. (2) order the prime rib and/or shrimp spaghetti, if you have a hard time to...
