This has been one of my favorite places to eat since I was a kid. I have the fondest memories of family gatherings here, coming here after winning (or losing) at softball, bringing dates here as I got older. I'm not entirely sure where things fell off but MAN over the last few years, it's just not the same place it used to be. I think they make that standard mistake of trying to offer WAY too many different types of dishes but now everything is mediocre at best. Yesterday, I ordered delivery through Door Dash. I had to physically call Door Dash 20 minutes in to get them to "trigger" the order. I ordered fried shrimp and fries; It came with an optional salad but I specifically indicated in the notes that I didn't want the salad because I didn't want to waste it. I asked that they maybe throw in a few extra fries, but that wasn't something I counted on. The food arrived, on time based on the estimates watching the Door Dash tracker, but it was freezing cold. The entire thing came on a bed of warm, wilted spinach, so everything inside was soaked. It was disgusting. The fries were undercooked with not even a hint of salt or seasoning and everything was soggy. I'm not sure if they always do this or it was some sort of passive aggressive move for asking for no salad lol Either way, it ruined my $17 shrimp lunch ($4 tip paid ahead of placing the order).

The hefty plate of nachos consisted of some type of chip that the dollar store would find insulting. Cheese that hardened so bad you needed a pizza cutter to get through it. I asked the bartender what type of meat was in it (like we should really have to ask)...she ...without batting an eye said sausage and meatball..😳. Now I'm all about sausage and meatballs, but this offering was not it. The smattering of whole tomatoes, jalapeños, and black olives were almost palatable. Okay...now the So- called Hot Wings.... I love a full wing or leg sometimes, but I guess the chicken wing embargo has made its way to Clearwater. First...there where no wings. Only drumsticks with the fried fat flap hanging off the side to perhaps resemble a wing. Medium sauce selection was bland and probably used to hide the fact that it wasn't a wing...or maybe even chicken 🤔 Dry and un appetizing is an understatement. Moral of the story....should have taken the previous bartenders suggestion to go for the cheesy garlic bread appetizer. 🙄. Always ask and perhaps take their recommendation. 😁 Bon Appétit... Great servers though.👍

Felt like I walked into a place in need of Bar Rescue. While outdated decor is not a concern, who has a sports bar that closes before any late afternoon game or evening game finishes? So other than random wall memorabilia, it's certainly not much a sports bar. And it was also clear there is no system in place to effciently handle a busy Monday dinner service and I'll just leave it at that. And the food got no better on impression. The pizza toppings are low end and the cheese not the robust whole milk cheese one would hope for at a place that was supposed to have great pizza. And the crust was a complete miss as it is simply on par with a premade or even frozen crust in texture. And the wings. They were okay but still not given any love. Clearly given the clientele that was there, they have a strong following of long time regulars. So I'm sure they do fine. But for me and this overall experience from environment to service to food quality, I won't be a new patron here.

Definitely not the old Capogna's. They say the family is still involved, but obviously not in any meaningful way. Went today to support a local business and it isn't like it used to be.

Every bit of food tasted like it had just been in a deep freeze or a tin can just minutes before serving. I had wings w/fries & mozzarella sticks. Partner had a pizza with extra toppings and a beer.

Wings could've come out of a pre-cooked freezer bag from Publix. Sauce had zero flavor. Blue cheese was inedible and had an odd bitter taste that made me think it had gone bad. Fries were cold but serviceable. Mozarella sticks were obviously pre-made in a factory somewhere and heated up, and they still had the nerve to charge $10 for them.

Partner's pizza was bland and equally flavorless, save for the extra toppings of olives and mushrooms that were obviously out of a can and tasted like it. Beer was delayed 15 minutes because the barman wandered off, and when he came back and poured it, the waitress was busy on the other side of the restaurant in a different section. The same thing happened when we wanted a check and it took flagging down a different waitress to get ours' attention across the restaurant.

Atmosphere was about the same as ever, can't fault that. But clearly different people with different ideas of how to make food and organize their wait staff run this place now.

Edit: You'll note that shortly after a string of negative reviews from long-time customers get written, a quick series of 5-star reviews that all sound exactly the same, get posted to to push the negative ones further down. Focus on fixing your restaurant instead of gaming Google's review...

For the most part, the food is great. Their fries...not so much. I happened to stop in on a Friday when they had a tuna melt special. The sandwich was great but the fries were soggy/greasy. I went back the next week late afternoon. The chalk written sign by the front door was advertising the tuna melt special so I ordered it from the bartender along with a beer. It took him 15 minutes to come back and tell me the lunch special was over. The next time I stopped in during lunch and asked if I could substitute a small side of spaghetti for the fries. He said I could. When he brought it out it was a full size helping of spaghetti and when I got the bill,he had charged me full price for the spaghetti and the tuna melt special. That was a few months ago. Today I was at the tax collector's office in the same shopping center so I stopped in for the tuna melt at about 12:30. There weren't any games on at that time but the TV'S we're on and most of them had sports talk shows without sound. I asked a waitress if she could put one on " closed caption" so I could follow what they were saying. She tried but couldn't figure it out. I thought she was going to ask someone for help but she just put the controller down behind the bar and said, "I tried", then she just...
