Me and my family went there today and my husband bought$30 worth of food he paid for it with our debit card but then there's things that we forgot so we used our $20 bill I found the bill when my husband paid she took the money did not check it with the marker with the money in her hand she slammed the door in his face. He did not understand what happened so he knocked on the window when she opened it she snapped on him and said you know what you are trying to do. She said the money was fake again she did not check it she threatened to call the cops on him she took his picture and a picture of my truck All of this without proof she took our money did not give it back she was very rude she was the manager a Mexican lady there is a black guy doing drive-thru and another Mexican lady cooking they both told her when my husband said that he has a debit card he just used the debit card he will pay for it with the card again she refused service when I walked up I explained to her that we are not trying to scam anybody we have money we just bought $30 worth of food for our kids and us but she did not care after talking back and forth for 10 minutes her constantly walking away and being extremely rude The other people there looked so confused and asked her why she is being this way she did not reply she finally allowed me to use my debit card mind you it was only $5 worth of food we were trying to pay with a $20 bill that she claims was fake she never proved it was fake she just jumped to accusations this is the first time we ever went there we decided to get lunch after buying game systems so it's not like we don't have money this woman should not be a manager she should not be working at all I don't know what her problem was but she was profiling my husband he is covered in tattoos so am I but she allowed me to buy the food with the debit card but refused to let my husband she kept telling him she was going to call the cops on him even though he offered to pay with the card because she said there was an issue with the cash I really hope corporate does something about this individual she will make them lose a lot of business I am very offended by how she treated my husband he did not deserve that treatment he was very respectful the whole time the first time he got the $30 worth of food he had my 10-year-old son with him even the lady cooking told her that he paid with his card so why would we need to use a $20 fake bill to buy $5 worth of food. I would fully understand if she actually checked the money and seen it was fake I found the money on the ground and I explain that to her so if it was a fake bill we did not know we are not those kind of people but she did not care I felt as though she was very racist with her being Mexican and us being white and covered in tattoos I don't understand what her attitude was about but somebody needs to do something about her I do not appreciate this kind of treatment when we were being customers we paid so there is no reason that she should have treated us this way whatever you do don't go there if you are white she seems to have a problem with white Americans and I'm not saying this just to judge but by the way she treated my husband and by the way she was treating me in the beginning was proof enough that she was profiling us she is a very racist individual and needs to be dealt with immediately we were not rude when she let me pay I said thank you and have a great day but she completely ruined our day we have made a formal complaint to corporate we have our receipt with her name on it I will not put it here at a respect but it won't be too hard to figure out who she is by her attitude and with her being the manager at the time this was in the afternoon at 2:24 p.m. if you read this ma'am you really need to learn respect you should not be working with people even your own employees asked you why you were being this way when he paid way more than the $5 we were paying the second time with our debit card we don't need to scam anybody we do not believe in using...
Read moreSo a better picture couldn't be painted and this is not a racially motivated joke this was truly my experience. About 1am I originally wanted to go to Wendy's but they couldn't make any sandwiches with "big Meat" so I decided to go to checkers. No one in line and I placed my order after waiting about close to minute before i was created. Couldn't see anything on the sign cause it was broken and because of Irma I understood that but the other menu sign was on but it was blocked off. Anyway I placed my order and went to the window. A white guy and a black guy was seen. Since no name tags were part of thier uniforms I have to use race. The white guy took the payment and the black guy was getting my frys from a basket sitting over the oil with his hand (he at least had gloves on). Anyway I knew this wasn't going to be good cause the fact that I pulled up with no one around and also the fries were sitting over oil they were going to be soggy. So the white guy gives me my bag and asks me of I wanted sauce. Sauce? I didn't order anything required sauce. But I said no. Fast service but bad quality. The fries sure enough were cold and soggy. I got the guys attention again and told him I wanted my whole order remade. He asked why and I explained to him the fries were bad and I can just imagine the meat in the sandwich. So he said ok and told the crew to remake the order. The black guy goes "man whatever" and goes outside. I know this cause he props himself up on the chrome guard rail by the drive thru near the order window and started to smoke a cigarette causing the smoke to be blown into my window. I look into the Resturaunt and see the Mexican guy take the fries they originally attempted to serve me and re drop them into the oil!!!! WOW! So I get his attention and told him I want my fries taken from the freezer and cooked for me. So he did. Now the white guy comes over and pulls up the fries that were suppose be thrown out and attempts to serve me the fries. I of course stop him and explained to him that the other basket are my fries. So he says ok it will be a minute. I was hoping my sandwich was being made and assumed it was until I got home to find out that the bun was hot but the meat was hard and over cooked and that tells me they recooked the meat. The white guy did offer me a refund on my drink. But I'll just not go there anymore. I wanted to request their last health inspection report cause the have to show it when it's asked for but figured they wouldn't know what or where it was and no use to ask to speak to the manager cause as I was rounding the building he was sitting at one of the tables smoking as well. Read moreI really like checkers French fries and mozzarella cheese sticks. Both are seasoned to perfection!! Only reason for the 4 stars is my favorite location on Gulf-to-Bay Blvd in Clearwater, FL. Has been completely closed down with no explanation that I can find. I was just there the day before the location closed. I give total applause to the entire employee crew that was working at the time. None showed any change in there level of customer service, nor did they show any signs of sadness. Plus as I was handed my food and change the drive-through crew member said the following to me " always nice to see you sir I appreciate your attitude and your sense of humor when you come by, and I will see you on your next visit have a very wonderful night " . My intention on my next visit was to return that compliment in kind and also to give a good review to the manager on duty for having an awesome crew and and outstanding drive-thru employee. My only concern at this point is that everyone that worked at the Gulf to Bay location is safe healthy and well. I still do go to Checkers but I am honestly trying to find a location near me that either has some of the work crew from the location that I always went to, or at least evening work crew with the same level Top Notch customer service! To the entire work crew of the Gulf to Bay Boulevard Checker's location. I, security officer Williams I wish to express my humblest gratitude and thanks for an awesome job well done, and you're level of customer service has ensured that I will remain a Checkers customer as long as there are locations in the area that I live.
