This forty five year neighborhood Italian Family Restaurant is conveniently located between U.S. Hwy 19 and McMullen Booth Road. The menu has plenty of Italian dishes to choose from and there is something for everyone. The waitress Tammy, was friendly, polite and very accommodating. The service was timely and expedited perfectly. I ordered Iced Tea and it was somewhat weaker than I prefer. The fresh crusty bread and dried herbs (which they allowed you to choose how much olive oil to combine with) to make the bread dipping oil was outstanding! The salad was fresh and the Blue Cheese dressing was delicious. I ordered Shrimp Scampi over Linguini, however, I was served Fettuccini Alfredo and Shrimp Scampi on the side. The Fettuccini Alfredo was hot and cooked correctly. The Shrimp Scampi included nice size shrimp and it was hot and flavorful. The management came to greet me at my table and inquired regarding the quality of my meal and whether I was enjoying my lunch. I feel that this place is and should be an important part of our area neighborhoods. I recommend that you patronize this restaurant and add it to your list of dinner choices!

Best birthday ever - a make your own pizza party! My daughter had her 9th birthday party at Johnny's and both the parents and girls raved about what a unique and fun party it was. We decorated aprons in the banquet room, and then Johnny himself took the girls into the side kitchen where he walked the girls through the process of rolling out their dough and adding the pizza sauce and toppings. We even got to see one of the chefs throw and spin a pizza in the air, which the girls (and parents!) thought was super cool. The girls then ate their pizza creations, which were delicious! We ordered food for the parents - the food was great and the service was terrific. The banquet room was perfect for the party - we were able to connect to their Bluetooth speakers and play our favorite songs. There is a restroom just for the banquet room, which was perfect for the girls to wash their hands before making their pizzas. They made the event so fun and easy - if you're looking for a great party idea for kids or adults, consider doing something like this at Johnny's!

I’ve lived here 33 years and came to this restaurant more than a dozen times but this visit has changed my view of this place that used to be amazing. The quality and service did a complete 180. I ordered the penne broccoli and chicken and my mother ordered a chicken salad. The portion was rather small and there was about 1/2 chicken serving in mine and I know that because I put the pieces together that show the waiter and my mom had what looked to be 2 small chicken breast on her salad. They boiled my chicken for this entree and you can very well taste the difference, gross! I have never been to a family Italian restaurant who boils there chicken. I ate 6 bites before I lost my appetite and they took my plate after I dismissed it and I asked for a partial discount since they would not offer anything to make it right and the waiter told me that the manager denied my request. They have forever lost my business and it’s a shame during these difficult times.

We were a party of 10 & had a horrible experience. We had a reservation at 6:30 & were late…I was there on time & explained to some woman who claims to be part owner & she was flat out rude telling me oh no, we have a party of 15 coming in at 7 with the same restaurant. So it’s my fault you booked 2 lg parties back to back with same waitress? Even if we’d been on time we’d have not gotten proper service. I offered to give up reservation or go elsewhere & my daughter got there & was spoken to rudely too. We should’ve left, I know that now. We got terrible service. Took me flagging down other waitress to get her to get my waitress when I was given wrong salad dressing and my mom got no less she’d asked for. Took about 7 mins for that & waitress gave be ugly looks like I was a bother. Then my food was stone cold & again had to get another waitress to come. No offer to do anything to make it right other than reheat it…and others in my group were over half done eating by this time. Waitress not one time came check on us. No offer to refill drinks or bread. It’s like we were late so oh well. It was very disappointing. Especially since we were there with my 93 yr old mom we hadn’t seen in 3 yrs to celebrate her bday & 2 others. They did bring out a cake WE provided. We were told birthday people get free sm cannoli & yet I had to ask for it. Embarrassing…and they only brought 2. Then they forced a 20% tip on our bill. Slap in the face because no way on earth did the waitress deserve that! Basically all she did was take our order because others helped bring our food out. Then after it was all over, the woman claiming she’s part owner, half way apologized. Which basically was her gaslighting me!! I’m sorry …BUT…y’all were late. I’m sorry about your cold food….BUT…you should've reordered & I’d have rushed it thru as an appetizer. Like I knew that. No offer of that was made at the time I sent the food back. And no offer of any bread or soup or anything else to compensate. Bad place…I’d never go back. My mom loves it and goes often. I sure don’t see why. Overpriced and so so food and...

Horrible rude manager with no respect for customers.

We didn’t know we could make a reservation and we went in tonight with a party of 14 around 6:30pm. We expected to wait knowing it was a large party. A few extra folks arrived and we asked to seat 4 extra. We were told by the host “the manager says he will seat you tonight but don’t come back again unless you have reservations for a party of this size”. Wow.

There were plenty of tables available and we were seated promptly with two tables. The servers were good and nobody in our party complained about a single thing as there was nothing to complain about. Nobody had more than two drinks and nobody was demanding on anything. In fact I was the only one to ask for a box to go. Not a lot of extra stress on our servers at all.

I noticed the manager who kept giving us the evil eye. Not once did he come over and say anything to us. We were prompt with finishing our meals and payment. Our severs received good tips. We were in and ready to leave in under 90 minutes. Awesome, right? Oh no, not so.

I approached the manager to thank him for accommodating our party and he basically said he was not happy we were there. He stated it was ridiculous that we added four guests and how could we expect him to find the room for us and have sufficient servers. (Even though he did). He also told me that we created a bar atmosphere with saying goodbye to each other and his other guests were greatly disturbed. Meanwhile there were no other customers seated near us. We treated his staff well and he pretty much unwelcomed 18 people back into this establishment.

The food was not that great either and as he spoke to me in my face, he had very bad breath. Get a mint and a better attitude and I will certainly spread our experience. We will...

I came in to place a takeout order. After completing payment, I noticed that the air conditioning in the restaurant was much better than the takeout waiting area. I also had my child with me. The restaurant was half empty, so we sat down at a booth to wait the 10 minutes for our order to be made. As soon as we had sat down, a server came over and asked us if we were eating in. I replied no, we were waiting for our takeout. She told me that the booths were not for waiting. I told her how it was hot in the waiting area and gestured to my child. She then got a bit flustered and said she would look into if we could wait there or not. At this point, I felt very unwelcome. If the restaurant had been full, I would have just stood in the restaurant with the air conditioning. But it was half full, if that.

A few moments later, to my shock, the manager comes over and asks me what I am doing at the booth. I say, I am waiting for our takeout. She tells me that she is not being rude, but that I cannot wait at the booth. That it is only for dine in customers. I tell her, fine, I'll order something to drink while I wait 5 minutes. At this very brief interaction, both she and I are uncomfortable. And she just mumbles how she supposes we can stay. Our takeout was ready less than 5 minutes later. And no one else came into the restaurant in the meantime.

As a plus, the food was pretty ok. But the horrifying customer service was some of the worst I've ever been...
