My family and I go there almost every single weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. My parents having been coming here for almost 9 years since I was born (I'm 16 now) and we still love it. We have met the original and new owner and they both seem to get a long really well. The food is soooooooooooo good, for breakfast I will always get either pancakes or french toast and bacon, this place is the only place I know of besides chain restaurants that actually know how to serve crispy bacon, which is my favorite type, not like limp really greasy. We do also come for lunch and get amazing food, I highly recommend the French Dip with au jus, it is just melt in your mouth good, it is even better than some restaurants like Outback in my opinion. The servers know what they are doing and will often bring your drinks right to you as soon as you sit down if your are regulars like we are. They always have a smile on their faces and will often if their other business is under control or if their isn't a heavy breakfast or lunch crowd they will often chat with you and make you feel welcomed into what is basically a family. Which in most restaurants is hard to achieve that feeling, they really do care about who they are serving. The overall atmosphere is very very welcoming and unique, the food is very good (emphasis on very) and they strive to make sure that you get what you are paying for. Which in fact is very reasonable, everything they sell is very reasonable and that just adds to the overall 5 star rating I think they have earned from their constant wanting of making the customer leaving happy and full.

Read moreI Had a horrible experience with the owner and how he treats the customers that patronizes his business. I came through the door and there were 2 booths available. One in the corner and one right in front by the window. They took a while to clean the window booth so I went to the corner booth. Then I ordered, my food had not come and the table was a still clean.
They finally clean the front window booth. Haven't been out much so I decided to move and sit at the window booth so I could see people walking, sun shining etc. while enjoying my breakfast alone.
The owner came over and told me I had to get up, could not sit there and I HAD to go back to the back corner booth! There were no people waiting, no reservations, table still clean. I was not served yet and the waitress was fine with me moving. In all my years never once did someone tell me where I CAN'T sit in a restaurant! What about making your customer happy while spending YOUR money at their restaurant and he was not even polite about it? We are not a heard of cows!! The owner is so caught up on his little system that he has forgotten about the customer, especially in a SERVICE oriented business. I was so upset I could barely eat my breakfast. I'm very upset with the way I was treated but he sure got his money!!!! If I were a white well to do older couple I think things would have been different. I was insulted and humiliated. Not happy with the owner and his care and lack of appreciating his customers business and making their dining experience a pleasant one....
Read moreWhen Mr. George, the original owner, operated this store, it was one of my favorite places to get my weekly lunch. For four years, I would go there every week, pick up my meal, and chat with him. Mr. George was always polite and generous.
One day, I met his replacement, Theodore, who had married Mr. George’s daughter. I never liked him from the start. At the time, I was going through some family issues, and during one visit to pick up food, he took it upon himself to lecture me about my personal matters in a rude and condescending way. When I told him it was none of his business, he angrily replied that it was his business to tell me what to do.
I told him it was unfortunate that he was now running the store, as Mr. George had always been kind and respectful. He responded by saying Mr. George “was throwing away food and was a bad businessman.” From that day on, I decided never to return.
Recently, I learned from a family member that Theodore had been spreading false rumors about me—claiming I would call the restaurant to order food and never pick it up, that I owed him money, and possibly other untrue accusations. It is a shame that he created a situation by damaging my reputation with lies, revealing the kind of indecent and malicious person he truly is. Those who know me are well aware of my integrity and the dignity of my character. That’s why the words of people like him are worthless to me; only the ill-intentioned...
