Been there years ago for breakfast and happened to be passing by and it didn't look very busy ,so decided to dine in there. Being from NY where 24 hr diners are a staple ,living here for the past 25 years they are few and far between (aside from Denny's if you count them) . Upon entering we were taken aback by condition of the floors. They looked very dirty. The table we were sat at had visible dirt caked against the wall and floor . My wife used the restroom and said she has seen worse but they weren't good. I feel bad addressing this but being honest. The host was very friendly and greeted & seated us immediately upon entering. He was very professional, friendly and attentive. He mentioned he was from Morocco but I didnt get his name. He also took our orders and served us. We noticed he ,(aside from the cooks) was a one man show! Although there were several other servers present but socializing in the rear of the restaurant by the restrooms ,this host greeted, sat, and took orders from everyone that came in after us. We felt bad for the guy ! If Papa's had 5 of him on staff there would never be an empty seat ! The food wasn't bad. It was actually good by diner standards. I opted for the Buffalo Chicken Wrap w/fries and my wife got the Greek Wrap w/fries. We ordered the loaded potato skins as an appetizer and the dessert display they had at the entrance was loaded with good looking desserts. My wife got the Carrot Cake and I ordered the chocolate cake. Both were very good. We ordered milk shakes but the machines were down so opted for sweet teas. I reviewed every aspect differently with service being 5 stars (thanks to the Morrocan dude) . I was generous on the atmosphere rating. Although it had the cool diner decor ,including a updated juke box of sorts and a claw machine for the kids , I think a deep cleaning and/or new flooring( if cleaning dont do it) and instilling the motto "if you have time to lean, you have time to clean" to their staff , I think we would be regulars there. Cleanliness outweighs all other aspects of an establishment to us for obvious health and safety reasons. Overall we didn't regret stopping in. Very generous portions on their wraps and we're only able to eat half. So we look forward to finishing them tomorrow for lunch . Being a 24/7/365 establishment we know an all out deep cleaning may have its challenges but maybe closing for atleast one day with all hands on deck can pay dividends in the long run. Then it's just a matter of upkeep ! We will return again in the near future and if there are positive visible changes on the above issues we will happily...

My problem is the restaurant has a great marketing idea that allows you to pay and have your business card on their dinning tables. As the marketing coordinator for my company I thought I was a great idea. I completed a form and waited for a call.
I plan our job fairs, social media, and advertisements. Depending on cost I may need to get approval from the branch manager, (which is usually is as simple as letting them know what I’m planning and them approving every time).
The gentleman who called asked me asked me multiple times what my position was stating he’s been doing this for years and doesn’t want to waste his time. Even after telling him he continued pushing and asking what kind of ‘’decision making’’ I had at the company. I told him I make our marketing decisions and depending on price I may need a quick approval. He didn’t seem satisfied with that answer.
I tried to push past this and get to the information I needed and at least begin to discuss the reason for the call and not my job position. When he said a meeting can be scheduled to discuss the details I agreed, however he couldn’t care less about the person deciding to move forward with this and instead asked if he can meet with the person approving this. He didn’t seem to understand that I was the person approving moving forward working with this business and that only if the cost was above a certain amount branch approval would be needed.
My branch manager normally doesn’t handle things like this, if I took this to him he would probably wonder what he pays me for.
I decided to end the call since sadly it was going nowhere with the amount of push back I got from him. He clearly did not want to talk to me and it made me want to forget doing business with the company all together. I thought this was a great idea but he was extremely rude and very forward with the fact that he didn’t want to ‘’waste his time’’...
Read morePapas used to be our go to restaurant. Patronized them for 10 years. Good food, fair price, tremendous staff and atmosphere. Something just happened recently...(my guess-new ownership). I don't recognize a single employee at this place from just 2 months ago, as I was on a first name basis with most of them at that time. Just went this morning and it was atrocious. The coffee tasted like it had been reheated from the night before. (How in the world do you screw up coffee?) There was no operating restroom inside the restaurant, only a porta-potty outside. This means while having a meal and you have to relieve yourself during that meal that you need to go out into the parking lot, enter one of the most unsanitary restrooms ever created and then....return to eat without the ability to wash your hands!!!!! Are you serious??? In fairness, they are remodeling something~as over half of the restaurant is cordoned off. However you temporarily close the restaurant to respect your customers if you can not offer them proper facilities! The health department needs to visit this place. At least half of the orders they took were errors or incomplete. When it came time to pay it took the waitress 20 minutes to return with my credit card as she couldn't figure out how to operate the credit card machine. During this wait, I listened to another customer complaining about a $15 charge for a ham and cheese sandwich. She kept saying..."I will never come back to this place again." I tend to agree with her. This place had a loyal customer base but I am afraid they are putting that at great risk by treating their customers this way. There are plenty of diners and eateries in this area that respect their customers needs...Lennies on frontage....Sunset Diner on Sunset...IHop on Belcher and Ulmerton just to name a few. After 10 years, I am afraid that Sunset Diner will now get our patronage. I wish the new??? owners luck, but I really think they are creating an uphill climb with this untrained...
