We stayed here at this hotel last night, and this morning at 11 the manager of the hotel is banging on the door, demanding that we leave now or renew (check out was posted for 11:30). I asked him for a few minutes to do a renewal on the hotel site that i frequent. After instructing him that their system was down, he started screaming at me and called me trash and put his foot in the door so i couldn't close it and demanded that I leave the door open, while my girlfriend who was in the shower at the time, came and got dressed and then we leave. I told him I would not be doing that, that he wouldn't be getting a free show and that I would leave as soon as we are done, because I wouldnt stay in a place that treated me like that. He proceeded to continue making a scene and treating me like crap and I said "Why are you treating me like trash?" to which he responded "Because I believe you are". He claims that he has seen me "lurking around the property" and "Knows me", which is hillarious because I am staying in a hotel because we are from Los Angeles and I have never been here before. I said to him that it wasn't right how he was treating me, and he said "I am the owner of this hotel, I can treat anyone anyway I please". If you keep treating your customers this way you sure as hell wont be the owner of anything for long. He also called the Clearwater Police and they said that "This is a s* hole man, what do you expect? We are here all the time and have heard this story before". While removing our baggage from the property, I saw him banging on the door of the room next to us and pulled the same crap.I would reccomend that anyone coming for a visit steer clear of this place. Don't be attracted to its cheap prices because you sacrifice everything. They are under "new management", but apparently thats bs* too. My daughter even heard the same guy call a woman a "stupid w*" for being upset that he over charged her for 4 days she wasn't staying there and refused...
Read moreI stayed here for 5 days while on vacation. This location was ideal because it was in close proximity to all of my needs while in the area and the photos/reviews looked promising. However once I arrived at the hotel that quickly changed. First of all the area where my room was located was in a poorly kept building near the rear of the property that smelled strongly of cigarettes. The first room I was given was ok. The bathroom door frame was broken as if it was kicked in and there were marks along the door. Not a deal-breaker but still noticed. Later on that night before going to bed, my girlfriend noticed a something move across the floor and upon further inspection it turned out to be a house roach. I immediately packed my stuff and went to the front desk to speak to someone. I explained the situation and they changed me to another room without hesitation. The second room was in a slightly better shape and all seemed well. The next day my girlfriend and I were making a few trips back and forth from the room to local tourist spots when another guest blatantly said to be careful when moving about because the cops are watching who comes and goes. This was quite alarming and not 10 minutes later I look to see a cop car passing through the parking lot. That and the area seemed to be a bit shady with a few suspicious characters moving around the property. On my last morning before checking out I go to gather my things and I see an adult bed bug crawl across my sheets. This was the only one I saw, but it was an adult so it stands to reason that there must be baby ones around as well. As I can tell I have no bites but still one bed bug is one too many.
Pros: cheap prices, close proximity to stores and anything else you’d need, house keeping arrives like clockwork to clean your room.
Cons: a roach sighting, a bed bug sighting, shifty characters, poorly maintained buildings, walls are somewhat thin; I can hear the tv across the...
Read moreI wish I didn't have to give any stars. These people are horrible. They don't care about anyone but MONEY! My sister is living here because she was displaced because of the hurricane Milton. I came in town to visit my sister and this man in the office kicked my sister out with her children just because he said she couldn't have any visitors and I wanted to see my sister and my nephews. I waited outside I didn't even go inside her room. I texted her and said I was outside and I was sitting there waiting for her to come back and he said I want you out because we don't allow any visitors on this property. I really thought he was joking at first I just stood there like are you serious!? You kicking her out just because I came by to visit her!? This is ridiculous. I'm calling corporate in the morning and the news channels. Something has to be done about this. My sister is currently on a FEMA voucher and this hotel is charging FEMA for her stay when she is no longer there. He won't take her off the FEMA thing so she can go to another hotel. He still has her checked in there and wouldn't remove her check in. He is charging FEMA for her but legally she isn't staying there. This is so unprofessional and illegal. These people are horrible and illegal. You can't charge someone and not let them stay in the room. He seriously made my sister pack up and leave just because i stopped by to visit her and my nephews while I'm in town for the holidays. My sister would have had to walk across the street across a busy intersection just for us too visit her and this is not okay. I will make sure this hotel doesn't do anyone else like this. People are so heartless nowadays and it's very sad and unfortunate these people get to come to our states and treat us Americans like we are NOTHING! This...
