I recently moved to the area and finally had a chance to try this Waffle House.
The food itself was good, and the cook was very friendly, which was nice . However, unfortunately, I believe the sausage caused food poisoning for both my sister and me — and I’m currently six months pregnant, which makes this especially concerning.
When we first arrived, the experience started off on a bad note. My sister went inside ahead of me and sat at a booth, knowing I prefer booths over tables. Although the booth was dirty, we didn’t mind waiting for it to be cleaned, and she informed a staff member named Alex about that. Instead of responding politely, Alex rudely told her to “move to a clean table” and repeated herself even after my sister explained she was happy to wait. My sister calmly pointed out that her tone was inappropriate and that she could have handled it more professionally.
There were only a few customers in the restaurant at the time, so the rudeness seemed unnecessary. After we sat at a table instead, Alex immediately cleaned the booth we had wanted in the first place. Later, she did come over and apologize for her earlier behavior, acknowledging that she had been rude, which we appreciated.
On a positive note, an older lady whose name started with a “C” was very nice and provided excellent service throughout our meal. She checked on us regularly and made us feel welcome.
Aside from the unfortunate food poisoning and the initial interaction with Alex, the place was okay…. If they focus a bit more on food safety and customer service, it could be a much...
Read moreWaffle House is Amazing ! For a restaurant that just opened 45 days ago, they all work together in a team work relationship to get you seated, take your order and the short order cooks do the other thing. The menu is very reasonably priced. The food is awesome. The restaurant is spotless. This includes forks, knives & plates. Seating is limited. So time your arrival slightly before peak times. We missed last Sunday. However the wait time was only 20 minutes. This wait staff is incredible. I mean every single one. For lack of knowing her name; Waffle House has this amazing African American hostess. They must have swiped her from the Ritz Carlton. Number #1, sparks fly off of her shoes to get you seated. She is a "What-Ever-Girl", which means that she will do what ever to get you seated. This includes bussing a table or what ever. She makes you feel like your at home. Not to mention that she is a model of generosity. Then Nick, one of the premier and popular cooks fires up's your favorite pecan waffle, or his freshly brewed coffee and his ham & cheese omelet is too die for. Customers actually request his cell phone number to obtain his work schedule each week so they can plan their weekly meals. Nick prepares everything with a salting of pride. Some day the Wharton will be studying this model. They'll call it: " The Waffle House Era". This place is all about value, superior service and a great Hot meal and at a very reasonable price ! And the Oscar for Best Restaurant goes to: Waffle House 2510 Sunset Pointe,...
Read moreAll I have to say is wow. The staff was amazing, respectful and make really good food. I don’t even like waffles, my girlfriend made me take a bite and I had to take another one. It’s really cold in the restaurant so she didn’t want to eat inside - one staff member offered their jacket to my beautiful hooters girl. When I first walked in with my white claw, I was expecting to make a quick order to go and walk out with my Luke warm terrible drink.. I had questions as to why they were not offering to go orders, they were nice and stern at the same time it was insane! At this point it’s 4AM so I walk outside to get hoot hoot dumping my white girl out at the same time no questions asked. I told her straight up we have to eat here, no to go. She doubted me the whole time until we walked inside and she saw the traumatizing sign. That’s when “THE MAN” stepped in and saw hoot hoot shivering because it was -72 degrees celcius in that mother, Armando took our order and shouted louder than country girl on American Idol “TO GO” at the end. I really wanted to eat there but that’s okay. Love this Waffle House and the staff.. 10/10...
