We went pretty early while they were still serving breakfast but wanted lunch which was our own fault, however, I can't recall the waitresses name, she was so kind and when we asked about lunch she gave us a time when it would start being cooked and when it would be brought out. So we waited until it was out before we got our main dishes so, we started on a salad which was honestly one of the best salads I have ever had from a restaurant. Great mix, croutons, tomatoes, mushrooms, and everything else on that line. After lunch came out [10:30] by the way. The fish was piping hot, very tasty and unexpected, for me anyway, to see it being served. The potatoes both slice and mashed were great. Amazing gravy. Amazing beans, amazing Mac and cheese. The only complaint I can even begin to have is the sausage weenies weren't up to par with everything else, but that's just my own taste.
Now. I don't know if this will show up, or be read, but the Brisket. The Brisket was amazing... had some without their barbecue sauce and its got a little char, good amount of fat and very. Very. Very tasty. The sauce added to it makes it 100x better in every way.
Also, I would add that the waitress kept our drinks topped off the entire time and the tea was a little sweet for me, but the ice melting made it perfect.
Honestly. 10/10 have gone before and definitely...
Read moreSalad bar had fresh lettuce and vegetables that made creating my perfect salad. The pasta salad was delicious as was the potato salad. Their homemade ranch dressing is hands down the best in Johnson County. The selection of hot meats and vegetables didn't disappoint. Their smoked brisket is fork tender with a full body smokey taste. And I can't forget to mention that scrumptious BBQ sauce. My goodness, it hit all the right marks. Sweet, spicy, smokey, tangy, just pure deliciousness. The fried catfish was by far the best item on the buffet. Seasoned perfectly with crispy edges and fluffy white meat. To finish things off, you've got your choice of cherry or peach cobbler or some old fashioned bread pudding. I added a dollop of butter on top of mine and finished every single bite. The price may be a little on the steep side, but the quality of the food explains why. You really can't go wrong with anything you eat there because it's all great. Having a friendly staff that checks in on you and makes sure your drink stays refilled makes the West End Grill one of the easiest choices of restaurants to recommend. If you haven't been there yet, I highly suggest you take the time to go. You won't be disappointed or leave hungry. Instead, you might need help walking your big belly back out the door when...
Read moreI remember a time where my wife and i went to west end grill and had dinner one evening. We checked our card before we went there and we had more than we needed in our account. However, after we finished we paid with our card and it was declined. To make the story short, the owner was notified and he or she gave us a chance to pay our meal at a later time. We were so grateful that not only did we paid what we owed, we have been going there every chance we get. There's three things we love about this place. Clean restrooms, tables, the whole place is clean. Great staff and generous owner, who could have called the law on us for not paying; yet he trusted us that we made a mistake, which we did. Above all, great delicious food every time. We live in Mansfield now we moved from Cleburne a while back, but we still go there. Last but not least, we go there with cash now we don't trust cards no more lol. I have recommended this place to friends and families and now i recommend you whoever is reading this; that you must try this place out and you will be an addict like us. God bless our President, God bless America and God bless Texas, God bless West End Grill and...
