The food is great here but every single time we go they can never get everything we want right so we always wait. My husband got steak and wanted noodles instead of rice and he got charged extra.. I got the shrimp and also wanted noodles because I cant eat rice but they didn't charge me extra.. My husband asked for shrimp sauce and hot sauce for his salad and he got the ginger dressing which he hates so had to explain again what he wanted.. I seriously don't think they pay attention to what you want.. We also asked for salt and pepper which took forever to get and i can't eat anything before I put pepper on my food. They do more take out business and cater more to that than the customers that are there. They only have 2 people working so I don't think they can keep up. Very pricey! We could have eaten at another Japanese place much cheaper (even the ones that cook in front of you) and we ordered off the senior menu. We went out for the first time lately without going someplace we have a gift card to and decided to treat ourselves but probably won't go back with having to continually ask for something you asked for up front and then price on a senior plate is too high compared to other Japanese...

We went to the Koto’s in Clemmons this past Saturday night. We were seated pretty quickly. The waitress took our order. In about 20 minutes my mother-in- law’s order came out. It was presented very nicely but was lukewarm. She chose not to send it back. We waited for our meals. About 20 minutes later (after it was stated it would be “right out”) my meal came out and was hot and tasty. About 5 minutes later my husband’s meal came out but was lukewarm. He sent it back. It came back about 5 minutes later and “was about twice as warm” (his words). The presentation was great for all and tasty. The service was terrible though. Everyone’s food should have been served at the same time. We watched as the same thing happened at every table. Also, there is no place to be except at the door if you are waiting for a table. We also saw people from one table get up and leave since they had not had an order taken in about 15-20 minutes. This restaurant really needs to get their act together if they want customers to come back. This was a really awful 1st experience. This kitchen is not prepared to take care of a crowd and neither...

The KOTO Japanese Sushi & Steak House Experience (Call In/ Pickup Edition). I have passed by KOTO several times and always wanted to try their food. So on this day, I reviewed their menu online and called in to place my order. Whomever I spoke with was pleasant, but I must admit I felt a slight language barrier, and it was challenging to place my order.

I ordered their Money Bag, a fried wonton filled with crabmeat and cream cheese, and their Chicken Hibachi that came with rice, soup, and a salad. Upon arrival, my food was ready, and I was out the door in no time. Once I was home and eating, the flavors of the food were outstanding. I was so stuffed and satisfied with the amount of food received and the quality.

I thought about how I was about to hang up during my call-in encounter with KOTO and how I would have missed out on this delicious meal. I would most definitely eat at KOTO again. I probably will take advantage of their online ordering system versus calling in, but I...

My sushi was fresh, tasty, and they have excellent chefs that make large and tight rolls. I think they use low sodium soy sauce for their noodles because they had zero taste but after adding my own it was great. So I guess thats good for people that can't have sodium but I wish there was an option on how its made. Their Kani salad was about half the size I'm used to for the price but it also wasn't slathered with mayo so it was still better than a lot of restaurants. The miso was decent but not great. They gifted me with a side order of shrimp in a sauce that was delicious... and I don't even like shrimp. It's definitely a huge step up from a lot of the sushi restaurants in the area.

Easily my favorite sushi restaurant in the area! Koto has delicious, fresh offerings. Their fish is the freshest I've tasted in the area, and they go above and beyond with every dish. I actually wish I didn't love their sushi so much, because the rest of the menu looks just as delightful, but I can't stop myself from ordering sushi every time I go. The a la carte sushi in particular is served with large, gorgeous, fresh slices of fish. The Christmas roll has been my favorite recently, but it's hard to choose! They also make amazing Thai iced tea and have a few boba teas to choose from, as well! Do yourself a favor and try this place. It's delightful.
