Krispy Kreme — Restaurant in Clemmons

I love Krispy Kreme and I was lucky enough to have been blessed with a coupon for a dozen free glazed doughnuts. It was given to me the last time I was at this store as a consolation because, much to my great disappointment, the line was down and waiting for a repairman. Several months went by before I was finally able to visit this store again. And this time there was little to complain about. The line was running smoothly , affording me the joy of hypnotically following the tender morsel from batter to glistening, warm, delicate doughnut perfection. The employees were friendly and helpful, the raspberry filled was as tasty as the lemon, everyone was as cheerful as you could expect in a doughnut shop and my only complaint was that they advertised ice cream in waffle cones which were not actually available, disappointing, especially considering they sat beside an actual ice cream store next door. For that reason I only gave them 4 stars when they could have had 5. Actually, to be completely objective, and not let my judgement be clouded by the aroma of fresh doughnuts wafting past my brain. I should mention the puzzling behavior of the cashier who took my order and served me my treats. She seemed to be unfamiliar with her menu, what was available for sale and what was sold out, and what the various prices were. But maybe she was a new employee and she will be a seasoned professional by next week. It will certainly be worth stopping by to find out. And since you will be there already, you might as well go ahead and get a dozen variety box of everyone's favorite coffee break companion, food fit for the gods, and the only doughnut worthy of the label, Krispy...

My friend and I get an assorted dozen here pretty much every week but we will not be coming back to this location ever again. The service was god awful. 2 hours before closing we pull in and there are six employees just sitting at a table talking and staring at us through the window, we walk in and they’re silent, as if we don’t exist. I finally ask if they’re on break and one of them says “No. I’m coming” and proceeds to not move. The girl who did end up going to the counter refused to talk, didn’t say a word, just stood at the register and moved purposely slow as she pulled a ticket that had been printed who knows how long ago, and it wasn’t even our ticket. 20 minutes after our donuts were supposed to be ready (which we scheduled for pick up before heading to Krispy) they’re finally done. I’ve worked in grocery and food services but never in my life have I encountered such vile behavior. I advise management to check out who was working September 5, 9 PM. It was like a flashback to high school except one of them was well in her 30s by looks at least, the whispering and laughing at customers who haven’t done anything wrong astonished me. Did I comment on the girl’s customer service to her face right before exiting? Yes, and totally within my right to. Congrats on losing one of your regulars. Went to Taco Bell after, waited 10 minutes after ordering in store and they gave us a free taco voucher for the wait. The difference in common...

I went in at 715pm with three kids ages 6 (autistic child), 7, and 8 years old. The hot light was on. The kids were beyond excited. In their pjs from pj day at school. They picked out their two for our assorted dozen then ran over to watch the doughnuts being made. I picked each up as we waited for two more original glazed dozens. When the worker that was getting the doughnuts off the rack leaned over with three little individual bags asking if they’d like one. The kids were over the moon in excitement as they had their own bag. He made their night. Their excitement and over stimulated little selves can be overwhelming to most. But he along with the other workers tonight we’re patient and made my experience as a parent and the kids as kids awesome!!! He gave them a huge smile and said you’re welcome when they thanked him twice and told him Merry Christmas. By far the best Krispy Kreme experience we have ever had. This was our first visit to this store but I’m pretty sure they won us over for coming back to this one :) thank you young man I wish I would have grabbed your name.
