Consistently Delightful
Pete's Family Restaurant is a culinary haven where the promise of "everything is always good" is not just a phrase but a reality. It's a place where the consistency of delicious food meets the warmth of community spirit.
The ambiance of Pete's is like a warm embrace, embodying a Christian ethos that is evident in its welcoming nature. The atmosphere is always charged with positivity, often with local church groups gathering, creating a space where you'd imagine Jesus himself might be dining in the next booth.
What truly sets Pete's apart are the pleasant and efficient "country gal" waitresses. Their service with a smile is the heartbeat of this establishment, ensuring every visit is imbued with personal attention and genuine care.
The menu is a parade of family favorites, featuring an array of dishes that cater to all palates. From the perfectly fried seafood to the hearty spaghetti, each dish is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. The grilled chicken salad is a personal favorite, offering a lighter option without compromising on flavor. And let's not forget the great vegetables, showcasing the best of local produce.
The non-stop flow of sweet iced tea is the perfect accompaniment to any meal, providing a refreshing respite. It's like a liquid hug for your soul!
In these challenging economic times, particularly under the current Biden administration, Pete's offers a sanctuary where the prices are as comforting as the food. It's a place where the value is unmatched, making every visit feel like a wise decision.
Pete's Family Restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's a community cornerstone that radiates love, warmth, and unbeatable culinary delights. It's a gem that has earned its place in the hearts of many, including mine....
Read moreEasy to find with a large parking lot. Big clean restaurant w/several tables & booths. They were busy the entire time I was there eating breakfast the other day. They are also open for lunch & dinner. People were constantly coming in to replace the ones that were leaving. Most of the tables were taken. I'm so glad I found this place & will return the next time I'm in Clemmons. You seat yourself but they do provide table service. Our waitress was kind but very busy. Small breakfast menu but they offered just about anything you could ask for. Biscuits, sandwiches, English muffins, pancakes, French toast, combos, etc. Also they have the largest variety of meat options: sausage patties & links, Virginia ham, bacon, tenderloin, Ribeye steak, country ham, Canadian bacon + many more. My Canadian bacon came with 3 of the thickest & juiciest slices I've ever seen & the French toast was yummy even without syrup & it was enough for 2 meals. The bag that held the 2 breakfast sandwiches I ordered to go were sooo heavy I was shocked. At the end of your meal you take your ticket up to the register by the door to pay & pick up any to go orders. What amazed me the most though were the prices. Somehow this place has managed to keep the low prices that restaurants like this used to have! I was thrilled to find out that the 4 of us ate for just $26! Check this place out...I know...
Read morePete's is very consistently GREAT. We frequently get takeout and appreciate how friendly the front desk staff are. The kitchen always gets the orders correct, and sometimes writes cute notes on boxes. I really wish their online order app would allow tipping, this team handling take out definitely deserve to be paid extra for going above and beyond,. Typically they are also managing dine-in checks as well and keep it running smooth. Even when it's busy no one minds the wait due to the inviting atmosphere.
For dine-in, you can tell that they have more than average regulars and lots of them are seniors (a good sign of quality food). The whole staff seem to know customers by name and always ask them how they are doing and chit-chat with them. It's so refreshing to see.
Food: They have the best pork chops! The chicken slavaki and marinated chicken are so well seasoned and cooked right every time. Never dried out. Lots of great veggie side choices and something for everyone. One minor critique - the fried squash could be better if hand breaded. But I...
