Pleasant experience overall. They do not have table service as you might expect in a more upscale hotel but that’s a minor nit to pick. The menu is somewhat limited but still offers enough options for a good meal to be enjoyed. The food would be more defined as casual but definitely different as there is a decidedly Middle Eastern/Mediterranean style food with dishes featuring falafel, hummus, dukkah, harrisa, etc. Our first visit was last week when there were not that many guests eating so everything went very quickly from the time we ordered until we were served. This week, they were full and apparently the kitchen was having a hard time keeping up with meal preparation. They do have quite a number of staff who are special needs which we find charming but can require a bit of patience sometimes. That’s just fine; we were not in a hurry but I can see how someone who needed to eat up and move out might be challenged.
The overall ambiance is very good with the hotel having been renovated with very pleasant and comfortable decor which is not only pleasing to the eye, but comfortable for eating. Parking can be a bit of a problem as students are returning and parking is at a premium in downtown Clemson. Again, overall we intend to frequent them for meals after Church as there are limited...
Read moreI must say, I’m so disappointed with the direction Delish Sisters is moving. While I love their mission and the staff is always amazing, the management decisions for the breakfast menu make me sad. Their decision to implement the “Gameday Breakfast Buffet” on a bi-week seems to be taking a lazy approach to service. Being in Clemson two weekends in a row to visit family, I was excited to finally have my Chia and Oat Pudding and Homefries with a delicious coffee. Both weekends (even when Clemson football was on a bi-week) they were only serving buffet-style. For someone who wanted a wonderful take-away experience, the buffet style was not going to work—especially at the inflated price they are offering it for. Additionally, they didn’t have the item I was going to order out for buffet. Both times I visited the restaurant, customers around me were disappointed about the buffet-only selections, discussing with me where other breakfast restaurants were...
Read moreDon't eat here unless you have a ton of time to waste. I spent 55 minutes this morning and never got either coffee or breakfast. Stood in a long line to order, from one lovely young lady with a freakishly good attitude who was tasked with ringing up orders, making specialty coffees, delivering all orders to tables as they came out of the kitchen, and generally meeting every demand in the place. She deserves a better job where she isn't abused by management. Then sat at a table in the very lovely, spacious restaurant for 30 min. Some people got ice water while they waited; I didn't. After 55 minutes in the place, my time window for breakfast was closing, so I left without my iced latte or my eggs Benedict. I went down the street to Summer Moon and in 4 minutes flat I had a delicious iced latte and a very decent breakfast burrito. Won't be back to Delish Sisters, unless I hear of a change...
