Read moreI don't post negative reviews very often because I think restaurants are allowed to have bad days but wow. I went yesterday with my husband for dinner. We ordered a bang bang shrimp that was absolutely horrible. First one was cold and the second "remake" was room temperature. They used the same shrimp and just poured a boat load of sauce on top versus trying to make a new one. The plate had so much sauce that it completely covered the bed of lettuce placed under it. The server was great and apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. The manager came and asked if she could make a new one although our meals were just about to come out. We agreed although it really shouldve just been taken off at that point. I got the bento box with sesame chicken. Again, the food wasn't hot it was slightly over room temperature which I don't expect from a restaurant. The chicken was very chewy and hard to eat as if it had been made from a frozen meal versus fresh. Even my "steamy rice" was not steamy but room temperature. My husband got his food to go but when we got home and he ate it his steak it was also very chewy and hard to eat. We spent over $50+ for 2 poorly made meals and an app. I had been here last summer and really enjoyed the food but this time was absolutely awful and...
Read moreI’ve never ever felt compelled to leave a negative review, nor to tip less than 20% in my life, but this is the first I guess. We got there, were seated immediately and our server (Melissa) came pretty quickly to wait on us, but when she did, she was rather rude. She rolled her eyes when we asked for things and didn’t say anything beyond asking for our order and a couple clarifying statements at that time. When the food arrived, it was the worst food I’ve ever had there. I’ve eaten at red bowl, in Clemson and both in Greenville, since at least high school (so 7-10 years at this point) and never had any experience that was even remotely negative. I went there every Sunday after church growing up. The food was essentially inedible. Half of the chicken didn’t seem to have any chicken; just breading. And it was practically burnt at that. The fried rice was indescribably bad. I legitimately lost my appetite. I don’t know if maybe they’re training new people in the kitchen and maybe Melissa is new to serving, but this was just a bad experience across the board. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back to the one in Clemson until one of my friends...
