Five Guys — Restaurant in Clermont

so I wanted to start by saying, Five Guys has been one of my favorite burger places for years...however, I have only eaten at this location 1 other time and it was not at all what I was used to from their restaurants. I honestly dont recall what I didnt like because it was about two years ago now but it was bad enough to make me not even consider eating there until last night. I called around 9:30 to double check they were open until 10 then told them I would call back with my order after I checked with the others eating. It took over 10 minutes to figure everything out and by the time i called back and they answered it was 9:48 when i was quoted 20 minutes and hung up the phone. I got there at exactly 9:08 and the doors were locked (understandable, theyre technically closed) it took a couple min standing there miming that i called for one of the employees to finally come talk to me. He said were closed about 5 times even tho i said I know but i called and ordered hed just say “im sorry were closed” finally I said ok but i called and ordered i cant just pay for my food? He then told me “I never made it because I knew you wouldnt get here before we closed” Like...what?! are you serious? Why not say that on the phone then? why have me drive 15 minutes each way to pick up food you never intended to make? and what if Id gotten there at 9:59, would he have told me they never made it the. I would have had to stand and wait while they made it? Overall just very disappointed with a place I used to go to once or twice a week in gainesville and every time I go to...

First of all, this review will be a little different but that’s me. ;)

I want to start by saying, I did not expect to witness what I did tonight from the staff but how glad I am that I did. To the manager I spoke to tonight, you know who you are, I want to reiterate again that you guys are amazing for what you do. In today’s society, that kind of attitude and respect is so lost in general morals but boy do you guys break societal norms.

To the owner of this specific location and the general manager, I would love to speak with you guys personally. Your staff goes above and beyond with stellar teamwork. Your management (or at least the one gentlemen I have seen) is exceptional in leadership and communication. I want to find a way to highlight and acknowledge your store, your employees, your hard work and dedication and more-so the stories there.

I have only been this passionate once before and I will tell you that I am a woman who will make waves when inspired. You have earned a new regular, supporter and respect.

Way to go to the team that was working tonight and the food and service will be one that I will...

Arrived was waited on right away. Waited a little longer than usual for our food. Whent to the counter to ask about our food. Was told they were waiting on fries. Then the guy turned around and put the fries in the fryer. I then asked for our burgers as they were getting cold. I sat down with our burgers and explained to my husband we were waiting on fries. He went to ask for the manager. He said we never serve our burgers without the fries. He asked his staff what happened and said I wanted my burgers 1st. So we were blamed for not getting our fries on time. I just wanted to eat my burger before it got any colder. The manager did stop by to explain that the fry guy left the floor to get more fries and failed to tell the staff to drop more fries if needed. That was just an excuse. I would have thought the manager would have given us a refund for the fries. I guess...
