Very dissatisfied with my visit here, came here for a late night dinner with my husband around 940 PM, the place was empty so we thought it would be a easy night. Our server was great he greated us with a smile brought us our drinks fairly fast and even gave recommendations on a few favorite appetizers. We ordered the Super Nachos, it took over 30 minutes for these “super” nachos to arrive to find brown lettuce throughout the nachos, cheese globs and they had a weird after taste. We have been here before with no issues so we decided to let it go assuming it was a one off kind of night. My husband ordered the Monte Cristo and I ordered the Jacked Turkey Burger. 5 minutes after our server puts in our order I see one of the cooks standing on the floor waiting to talk to our server, he pulls our server aside whispers something to him and seconds later our server comes to our table to relay the message that the cook wanted to inform me that my egg on the burger would be “messed up” and if that was okay? As weird as this was I said it’s fine if it’s cooked all the way through. Suddenly random loud rap music starts blasting from the kitchen which is now overlapping with the loud music already on the floor. Our food finally arrives now almost 40 minutes later and somehow it’s not even hot. The Jack Turkey Burger consists of caramelized onions, grilled jalapeños, jack cheese and fresh spinach. My burger buns were hard, had no onions, no jalapeños and ironically the egg was the nicest looking thing on the burger. Burger was dry, took three bites before I realized I could not stand it anymore and somehow the cook managed to make my fries soggy and burn them at the same time. Monte Cristo which is my husbands favorite was just all around disgusting. We spoke with the manager on duty, to be fair she did apologize and gave us a full refund of our money considering we barely touched it but it’s upsetting how bad this place is now. The manager on duty apologized and said ALL the cooks on duty were new which would explain why the food was messed up and bad. Although I know that’s not the real reason at this point I just wanted to leave as fast as possible, to be clear she DID apologize and gave us a full refund which was nice since we had to leave to get food elsewhere afterwards. There are multiple bad reviews from the past year alone you would think the manager would take this seriously and address the concerns considering the amount of refunds and apologies they are giving. Very disappointing for a Gators franchise.

I recently had a delightful lunch experience at Gator's Dockside in Clermont. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this restaurant values efficiency and customer satisfaction. We were pleasantly surprised by the minimal wait time for our food. It was refreshing to have our meals served promptly, allowing us to enjoy a satisfying and timely lunch. Our waitress, although I regret not recalling her name, was exceptionally sweet and friendly. She made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable. Her warm and attentive service added to the overall positive ambiance of the restaurant. Speaking of the food, it was absolutely fantastic. Every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection, bursting with flavor and made with tasteful ingredients. The culinary expertise of the kitchen staff was evident in every bite. It is clear that Gator's Dockside takes pride in serving delicious meals that exceed expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a pleasant mix of busy and relaxing. While there was a steady flow of customers, it never felt chaotic or overwhelming. The comfortable and inviting environment allowed us to relax and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Overall, my lunch experience at Gator's Dockside in Clermont was exceptional. The efficient service, friendly waitress, delectable food, and relaxed atmosphere all contributed to a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable lunch outing.

Horrible, horrible. We went yesterday at around 9:30p. We ordered the so called grilled wings. What is the point of calling them grilled if they are fried first?? Look at the first picture, does that look like grilled? The meat was super dry. The order of fries had so much salt it was impossible to take a bite. Plus, they were insanely over cooked (just like the wings) the lady taking our order was not all there. My husband asked for a burger with no bun and extra lettuce or lettuce wrap, this lady told him he couldn’t have that because she has no way of putting that request to the kitchen. After so much back and forth she tells him that she was able to order it. I get my rubbery wings and burnt fries. Not sure if we had to ask for celery but we didn’t get anything just the bare minimum…And wasn’t until I finished eating that my husband got his “grilled” wings. According to the server because I sent the fries back they noticed the oil had to be changed and my husband’s wings were frying. We were like, what happened to grilled? And she said they fry them first. This place used to be good 10 yrs ago. It’s like a dive bar. Plus the server that we got last night was all over the place. Greeting people at the door and serving tables it’s not for anybody. Even if I was starving, I will never come here again! Waste of money. The food was disgusting.

Gators is a staple for our family. Ask for Isha- she is seriously phenomenal! When we arrive and she greets us at our table, she already has our drinks ready, and asks if we want our normal order. 10/5-stars. Best service!!! Today's experience was vastly different. Isha was off to celebrate Mother's Day with her family (Happy Mother's Day Isha!!!) And we were sat at table 104 (by the windows, across from the bar) with Eric. He was a good server. Allowed my family time to converse without too many interruptions. Deena, the bartender, however was speaking so loudly, she was actually yelling- to her 2 customers that were sitting within finger distance from her. At first, we thought maybe she just is one of those people that demands extra attention. Then came the vulgarity and profanity. The table next to us noticed it too. Every sentence, no exaggeration, had at least one fck or sh!t in it. "And they couldn't believe her dad fing works [...] She has a view of the pool and the water. She sees the whole g-ddamn thing." Then she started talking about her mother's gastric bypass and" how broccoli gets stuck and she asks mom, how does it get stuck and they don't know but watch out because it causes vomiting everywhere. Chunky, smelly vomit."(Woh, we are eating!!! Or trying to.) Oh, and how she knows she's fat but she prefers to drink her calories mostly Jager. My daughter attempted to ask the elderly man with dark rim glasses, acting as host, to request she lower her voice and change the subject. That man was useless, just asked my daughter where we were sitting, then he did nothing. Finally Eric approached. I asked the bartenders name (so I could be accurate when I wrote this) and asked him to "tell her to shut her mouth. We don't need the cursing or the graphic stomach churning imagery while we are trying to eat our Mother's Day lunch." He did. Thank you Eric. He immediately walked around the bar, politely interrupted her, took her to side, a the a hush fell over the restaurant. Wow, what a huge difference. The table behind us briefly interrupted us to thank me for speaking up. They said she was bothering them immensely as well. they found her stories and the gutter mouth just so disruptive to a quiet meal out. She was so loud, you would have thought she had a mic on. She left the bar for a while. Came back. Wrote her customers a note, started whispering, and pointed at our table. She continued to speak quieter, but every chance she got, she cast daggers and dirty looks in our direction. Deena sweetie, you need grow up, you're easily in your late 50s and are both unprofessional and petty. Maybe if you learn that lesson, you won't have to seek attention or tips from a couple of day drinking old men. Gators, this was NOT how I wanted, nor imagined my Mother's Day lunch to be. Eric, thanks again- the rest of our lunch was quiet. The damage was already done. Honestly, Deena was so offensive that you (Eric) should have had management comped us... something. If you had, we would have increased your 20% tip to include the full amount of...

This place has really gone downhill recently. This has been my normal place to eat for the last two years. I also would come several days after work for a drink. Has always been one of my favorite places. Recently, the staff have been getting more rude and less attentive. Today was the breaking point. I came with my two children and was promptly sat. Then for ten whole minutes not one person came to even greet us. Every server (there were two) would make eye contact with me and just walk away. Finally the hostess came by and took my drink order. After that, a server finally came by and gave me this whole story that she was told, “well they literally just told me I had this table.” I found this to be an odd thing to say. Anyway, I ordered for the kids and their food came pretty quick. After that I placed my order and also asked for mustard. After five minutes, the hostess was walking and I called her over. I was fed up at this point and asked for my mustard and pointed out that it was allegedly difficult to do. She then decided to tell me off and yell about how they are short staff. I pointed out that she was being passive aggressive. Yes, perhaps I was rude at that moment, but this was after nearly 45 minutes of inattentiveness and rudeness from the staff there. I then asked for the manager and the manager came five minutes later. After that the manager decided to yell at me. At that point I just left.

I managed a very high volume (way higher than this place) restaurant for years, and never would I dream of treating customers the way I was treated. Being inattentive. Complaining about your job to me. Yelling at me because I was rightfully fed up. This is probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. As much as I love this place, I will never be going here again, and I will never be recommending this place to anybody ever again. I am truly...
