Wasn't happy due to an incident that happened to my friend. My friend did not understand about wasabi. She got wasabi with her box lunch special. The special included lo mein, spring roll, broccoli and chicken, and three pieces of a sushi roll. I believe that because the lunch box included three vegetable sushi pieces from a roll they gave wasabi with it; and she didn't know what wasabi was and ate it and absolutely choked and was short of breath. I had gone to the bathroom and came out to the food being at the table and her leaning over and trying to gasp to get air and was choking. I thought I was managing a choking situation or something like that. I had her stand up + she gained her ability and momentum and recovered from the incident. She immediately told me that she ate something. She pointed to the wasabi. The staff, including our waitress came up and asked if she was okay. I won't say whether they did or didn't make any apology for not explaining to my friend that the wasabi was on the side of the dish, and what it was. I won't say what they said because they're not here to say their side. But what I will say is that I requested a tiny discount to encourage my friend to come back to this restaurant because she had told me she wouldn't return because they didn't tell her about the wasabi. They said they would not give a concession. I explained that even a 20% discount would encourage her that there's an apology in practical terms since they didn't explain to her that wasabi is quite spicy and to watch out. Although there was a tiny piece of wasabi in the picture of the lunch box below the description of the lunch box on the menu, the description did not include the wasabi. My friend said she would never come back because they should have explained to her about the wasabi. I asked them for a tiny little concession just to encourage her to come back and make the apology. I think it's important to include that my friend and I had separate bills and I only asked them to give a discount on her bill. We also left a tip. Unfortunately, they made the decision that they didn't think there should be any concession. It's just a difference of opinion and any customer should decide whether or not they would want to give them...

I opted for the Tiger Roll and the Suho Roll, while my husband indulged in the Tiger Roll and the Black Dragon. Each dish was a delightful masterpiece, leaving our taste buds in awe.

Read moreWe usually go to Sakura which is father from home and we were hoping to find a replacement in Sumi. We ordered the same thing we do at Sakura so we could have a like for like comparison. I really was hoping to give this a 5 star rating. But i was not impressed.
Im going to nitpick because i want to give the most info.
Here is what we found: First, the presentation on the table was really good. Metal chopsticks are something you dont usually see and the sushi was well presented.
There is no kids portions. So you will have to pay adult price for your child. The clear soup didnt have much taste although it seemed to have more ingredients. My wife did like how thin the mushrooms were sliced for it though. The salad dressing seemed to be watered down. Usually ginger dressing is somewhat pulpy but this one had none of that. The fried rice had nothing in it. No egg or veggies or anything. Although it did have good taste for just rice. The veggies that came with the hibachi dinner was only broccoli i found a few pieces of squash 1 piece of carrot and 1 mushroom. But it was almost all broccoli. The steak was cooked to my liking and was tasty. The chicken was VERY tender...
