Breakfast Station — Restaurant in Leesburg

We've been coming here for months and the servers who work here are AWESOME!!! That being said......what the hell is going on in the kitchen?! When we started coming here, the food was fabulous-hot, fresh, yummy!!!! Now, it's hit or miss foodwise, depending on who's in the kitchen cooking. We had a few meals with burnt food, so we took a two month break. Last Tuesday we figured they straightened the kitchen out and it would be safe to go back to eat. WRONG!!!!! My husband ordered a side of mashed potatoes which came out ICE COLD!!!!!! We asked if he could get HOT MASHED POTATOES instead (we even had two servers verify that these were cold, refrigerated mashed potatoes!). When the server finally brought the hot mashed potatoes, the server commented that the kitchen tried to send cold ones a second time and the server told kitchen he needed to see steam coming off them!!!!!! Seriously?!?! The kitchen doesn't know that mashed potatoes with gravy should be hot?!?! Seriously?! You have to be at least 18 to work in a kitchen and by the age of 18 you should know to serve mashed potatoes and gravy HOT!!!!! Then to try and make the same mistake twice, on the same table?!?! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!! This used to be a great place for breakfast, but it's steadily going downhill in a hurry!!!!! Get your kitchen straightened out and teach them how to properly cook and serve food. My fear is if you can't get mashed potatoes hot, what else is being undercooked and possibly contaminated?! I don't give folks a second chance to try to food poison me. All I can say is customers beware!!!! I doubt we'll be back. EDIT: 7/13/24. Went back for breakfast today. My strawberry stuffed French toast combo came out with the strawberries and whipped cream on the side!!!! Are you kidding me?! Girl who brought it said she was afraid I didn't want the strawberry sauce on my eggs!!!! Then put the French toast with all its toppings on a separate plate.....geez! Use some common sense!!! You're dirtying two dishes, either way!!! Complained to our server and she offered to take back and fix properly. So, my husband is supposed to eat, while y'all figure it out?! We came to eat together, a main reason most folks eat out. If we wanted to eat at different times, we could have used two vehicles and gone to 2 different restaurants!!! After we complained to our server, she never came back!!!! We had to flag down other servers for more coffee!!!! Seriousl! Breakfast, you screw-up my food, don't bring me coffee refill=zero tip!! I do appreciate the manager comping our meals, we were fine paying for our meals. And no, I didn't order my toppings on the side.....I've ordered this in the past and nobody worried about the strawberry sauce touching my eggs.....it came out...

Hostess was rude immediately. Did not appreciate the tone, put me in a bad mood thinking this was going to be a terrible breakfast, thankfully, server was able to rectify that. He tried to take the blame for the hostess, but I told him it's her fault, not yours. Don't apologize for a mistake that is most definitely someone else's. anyway, Damon was a great server. Doubtful, I'm going to want to come back, though, because I didn't like the bad news that was initially set. Relatively average independent breakfast place in terms of taste, I didn't eat anything that could have been done any better. The portions were decent for the money, though, even though my meal was priced $2 cheaper on the menu than what reflected on my bill. But bacon and sausage portions/size was good, and it's not the server's fault so I didn't hold him accountable for that, it's not his fault party to come in from the car. Apparently, that wasn't good enough for her I had to wait till everyone was physically in the building. And I didn't appreciate the way she told me which didn't help the fact that she walked by me three times before acknowledging that I existed in the first place. Server tried taking the blame and like I said, I told him that was her problem not his. Again, I worked as a Hostess and as a waitress, that's not how you treat someone coming into your restaurant. I don't normally go out of my way to complain, but I was slighted hard enough...

Wow! I have rated 100's of restaurants and this is one of the ... NO, this is THE BEST breakfast joint I have ever visited! We walked in the be greeted by Joshua who was super friendly and took my name to wait for seating. There were about 10 people waiting and he said it would only be a 15min wait, Surprisedly it was! After being seated our server Shawna quickly came to greet us with coffee ready in hand. I have to say she has the BEST personality I have met... And OMG what entertainment she is! Sassy, super entertaining, sweet and great at her job! Thinking of everything you may need, checking on us without too much checking and making everyone smile and laugh throughout the restaurant. Truely a dream of a server! We loved he so much we gave her a large tip and she started crying. What a gem she is! Anyway, the food... Thats what you might want to really know about ;) The food is delishious, hot and fresh! We went for breakfast and had a little bit of everything. Eggs, pancakes, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, English muffin and all was perfect. I always give an honest review and I can not say on bad thing about this place. We will be back!
