Would 💯 give this location 0 stars if possible. Finally took time out of my busy schedule to go to dinner with my best friend after planning for months. We first walked in and the restaurant had a decent crowd, I attempted to ask to be seated somewhere not to confined due to my extreme anxiety. She tossed our menus quickly on the table walked away and said I am the only one here. The waitress then comes over and asked if we were ready to order our food before even offering us something to drink. We were not ready so we asked for our drinks. 10 minutes later (after watching two other parties walk out before even getting a drink) she came back over we gave her our order. My friend had to then ask a second time for our drinks. She went to get another guests food yelled to a table asking about what drink they needed refilled and was called over to that table. Then she finally came back to us to ask again what kind of drink we ordered ( sprite, strawberry lemonade). We shortly after that recieved our meal. The cook did a good job, only complaint was very little buffalo sauce. That was quickly fixed by bringing us sauce on the side. We enjoyed our food. My friend had to refill her own drink as the waitress disappeared for quite some time. By this time we are the only guest left. We finished our meals, I then started timing how long it would take to get our check or be asked if we needed anything. Our waitress then decided to go sit down outside. During her break her replacement showed up and took over helping the two new parties that walked in and waited patiently. The waitress made sure we all knew she got off work at 11:00. After waiting over 25 minutes and making eye contact several times I finally got a little loud and asked for our check so we could get back home to our children. I do have a short background in restaurant management, but This would never be permitted under my watch. It is sad when our conversation half the time we were there was the fact of with my management background and her service background we could of ran the entire restaurant almost completely with just...
Read moreThis Dennys has a great staff but you might miss that during their rush hour when Uber eats, Grub hub, Door dash, Dennys own mobile app, etc ALL send requests to this 24hr location when it becomes the only place open within a 12 mile radius around 1-3am. The worst is that the apps don’t talk to each other. I watched this location go from no orders to 6 orders, then another 6, which all promised the same 5-10 minute wait time for the angry Uber driver waiting for the food to be ready. I watched a handful of the Uber drivers leave and just cancel the delivery when it got to 20 min, and like clockwork, more orders would come in (probably the same ppl ordering the same thing again because their order got canceled). Before I left the order tickets were about to reach the floor but despite that, the staff still managed to maintain service to the guests they had in the dining area.
This is a message to Denny’s corporate more than anything else. Your model isn’t working. It’s only a matter of time before your staff starts disconnecting the Ethernet cable if you don’t figure out a way to get these apps to cross talk and incentivize online orders to slow down. You could even do this with a surge charge or “auto gratuity” feature (that includes your cooks) during busy times in the restaurant and turn this into an opportunity for you and your staff to make bank. They could look forward to these rushes rather than walking off the job to escape a mountain of impossible deliverables. At least give them an emergency stop button to get their heads above water when the online orders get crazy. Pulling the Ethernet cable shouldn’t...
Read moreWent there tonight with my family to get dinner, the actual resturant wasn't very welcoming on the inside. We decided to stay though, we were a group of 8 total 4 adults and 4 children. The service from our server was as best as to be expected because she was the only one! Our food was decent, except for mine but it was comp'd off the bill. The roof is leaking on the inside of the resturant over tables, the whole place smells like cheap bathroom soap and toilet water, the server had 4 tables going at once. She kept letting us know she was sorry and was constantly running. We felt bad for her. I believe there were maybe a total of 5 people working. And the place was completely dead, except for the conference room. But no one was working in there from what I saw. The guys that were with us ordered the burbon burgers and fries and they were $14 a piece but they were given a 5 year old size handful of fries. Our server did get them more but also made us aware that they portion all their food now?. Then the temp in the resturant was like a icebox and when we mentioned it, the man working(standing by the opening) said yep a icebox and walked away. You could hear the staff arguing with each other in the kitchen about customer complaints on the food. And we were in a booth in the back and could hear them. It was in all a bad experience and we definitely wouldn't go back. The sad part is that this is what tourist see when coming here from the airport, the location is near so many hotels...we are locals and this is a bad representation of our city. I only gave this a 2 star because...
