I was a little bit disappointed with this restaurant. It was my first time eating here, and I am a regular at Salsaritas. So, to compare the two... I don’t see the hype over DosBros to be honest. I ordered a quesadilla combo. I wasn’t even asked what type of meat I would like on it or the amount of cheese. The employee instantly grabbed the tortilla, filled it with chicken, and LOADED it with cheese! This may sound great to some, but I like my cheese to be very light. Too much cheese upsets my stomach honestly. I know what you’re thinking, “why didn’t you stop her or mention you wanted light cheese then?!” Trust me. I wish I could have. She grabbed my tortilla and slapped on the chicken and cheese before I could get 2 words in. I was standing there still in shock that she added chicken when I didn’t even ask for it! Moving on from that... there were also hardly any choices for vegetables to be added to my quesadilla. She next asked if I wanted rice on it. My quesadilla is overflowing with cheese, a little chicken, and now you want to throw a mound of rice on it?! I politely said, “no thank you” and moved on down the line of “choices”. I saw a mix of grilled peppers and onions but was not offered that. I was next asked what salsa I wanted on it. I said the hot salsa sounded good. Then as she went to close it. I stopped her and said, “can I please get some lettuce or something on it? This is my first time here. I really thought I’d be able to get more than chicken and loads of cheese.” She said, “sure.” and rolled her eyes. At this point, I was over the entire experience. My total was right under $12. My chips for my side had zero salt on them. The drink bar was an absolute wreck. I was not a happy customer. If there were a Salsaritas closer, I would choose it over DosBros any day. I’ve been to many Salsaritas locations and never had an...
Read moreThe food use to amazing(for American fast food) bit lately it's been OK. I usually get the Angus beef bowl and it was great. From the tender Angus to the creamy queso and flavor packed salsas, they were a flavor bomb! Unfortunately, we didn't get our usual experience the last few times we've gone though. The food is still better than taco bell but not what it use to be. The Angus doesn't have the flavor, the queso is a level or 2 thicker than water and the salsa... taste like tomatoes. Those things don't make it horrible, just not what we've had the past few years. I really don't like writing subpar reviews. They're usually 5 star or warning others of something bad. This isn't either one of those but I'm afraid we'll be looking for a new place to have americanized burritos. To be fair, their burritos are HUGE! Still are but our family loves flavor over quantity and I've heard a couple friends express the same complaints about Dos Bros. Like everything else, they've changed the way they make what they offer. That's OK for some, just not us. Just to add about service- it's either great or the employees seem to hate their jobs. That's never had any effect on whether I'd visit or but figured I'd mention it. The atmosphere is clean and bright. It's comfortable enough to eat a burrito but not someplace you'd meet someone...
