Harvard Inn Restaurant — Restaurant in Cleveland

HORRIBLE service wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.

Usually when I go in or call in I have a pleasant experience, i understand sometimes they get busy, however my first issue was a few days ago. My friends and I placed a $60ish order to go, everyone’s eggs (which we asked for scrambled) were runny and wet.

The country fried steak was just thrown together, and it was extremely sloppy.

My friend ordered a ham omelet and i ordered a breakfast sandwich with a side of chicken sausage (because my son doesn’t eat pork).

When we saw everything we were disappointed however I was only calling because my breakfast sandwich wasn’t packed at all and we THOUGHT they also forgot my sons chicken sausage.

When I called to address the issue ??immediately the lady on the phone confirmed my sandwich was left at the counter and said I could come pick it up. I also addressed the side of chicken sausage being absent and I was told “the chicken sausage is in the to go box with the ham omelette (which mind you I saw when I opened it) but #1 why would u put MY side of food with someone else’s order ? #2 why would u put CHICKEN sausage on top of HAM? it wasn’t covered wrapped or anything so we had to add another side order.

I never even brought up any of the other issues, I explained my son doesn’t eat pork etc. she told me when I could come get the food? And then i was going to tell her a time frame and she hung up in my face.

When we got there to pick up the sandwich and side order of chicken sausage we were STILL greeted with nothing but attitude.

I was going to leave a review then but I saw the parking lot was packed and again I assumed yall were busy having a hard day.

Fast forward to today, I called MULTIPLE times and everytime the person answered (never said hello) and just hung up.

When my friend and I go in person to try and order the food because they weren’t answering, they made him go outside to place the order…

(Which I kindve understood because yall make it clear you have to phone in orders) however if you’re answering and hanging up? How can anyone phone in anything?

He explained this to the lady, and still said he would phone it in from the parking lot. But was just trying to let them know somebody was answering and hanging up.

Instead of saying “sorry abt that I’ll look into it” or whatever she started getting smart and mumbling under her breath? THE NERVE.

My friend called from the parking lot, she told us 15min.

We come back in 16min and she says”didn’t I tell u it’ll be 15min” he responded yes, I took a run and came back it’s been 16min”

And she literally started going off saying “If I give u a time dnt come at that exact time, have the common courtesy to wait longer” etc.

Nowhere in EITHER of these situations were anyone at this establishment nice or courteous, we were met with nothing but attitude and disrespect. All over an order of corned beef hash NOTHING ELSE.

Horrible customer service and rude, I’m sure you’ll don’t care about receiving my service, but I can assure you if the customer service continues to decline like this ? Yall won’t be receiving much service from others either.

I will never eat this restaurant ever ever again in my life I used to like their food it was very good but one day last week I went to the restaurant and they didn't cook my eggs right but that's not the bad part after sending my eggs back three different times I came back my play had three chin hairs on it .are the plane to the waitress and she saw them I ask for the manager she act like the manager was gone and then after a small protest she finally said the manager to me who also saw the hairs are on the discounted me $7 on a $27 meal when in fact my meal should have been free anytime you get three hairs on your plate that doesn't make any sense they were three red hairs I have black hair not red hair and they were from somebody's chin because they were very short I believe they purposely put those on my plate because I kept sending my ex back which were not done when I plainly and clearly ordered well done eggs guess what Harvard in I'm never going there again I'm definitely going to tell so many people not to go there again because you're nasty you are already a hole in the wall spot you already got hole-in-the-wall waitresses I try to patronize you but instead I was disrespected and I felt like I was a victim of somebody's nastiness all you had to do is refund the whole plate you saw the hairs yourself and they were red so they could have never have been mine but then to add insult to injury to tell me that nobody will purposely put something in my plate will how do you explain three hairs I can understand one here maybe three or the same place I don't think so that's...

I just bought a house near New Harvard restaurant. I have brought carry out breakfast once or twice. I had company coming in from out of town. I decided to take my company, my cousin and my son to breakfast. We set in the restaurant at a table for over 15 minutes, no one acknowledged us. I personally was in the restroom with my son who is special needs for 10 minutes. When I return to the table my cousin and my company from out of town were noticeably upset. I sit down and still no one the crazy thing is there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. There were only two guys sitting at a table near us eating, they walked past us to take them their food, but never spoke to us.. They talked and they played and they stay around the counter. This was very embarrassing to me , I don't know if race played any part of it. But I do know it was very hurtful. Thankfully while sitting there a nice gentleman told us about Mary's Restaurant. Me and my guest went and enjoyed breakfast at Mary's Restaurant on East 93rd. I won't even be buying take out breakfast from new...
