LOVED MARJEEās...hereās my story on how I found Marjeeās...(bare with me lol)
In Oct., I traveled from Pittsburgh, Pa to Cleveland, Ohio for a 3 day trip...We were traveling to attend the Guns n Roses concert...I have never been to Cleveland so we arrived a day early so we wouldnāt hit traffic & also to get a feel for how long it would be to get from our hotel to The Q. We were staying in a hotel which was near the airport...
We hadnāt eaten all day, so I asked several of the locals āwhat is Cleveland known for food wiseā (Pittsburgh is known for Primanti Bros. & Wholeyās among a few other places in The Strip District) And I asked if there was a good place to eat, nobody could come up with anythingš„ we stopped at Walmart to pick up a few things & I decided to ask one more person, one Walmart employee directed us to The Boiler 65, but unfortunately we didnāt want seafood. I was getting frustrated & didnāt want to end up going to a chain restaurant, I wanted to experience Cleveland, so I asked Siri where was the best burger place in Cleveland & I was directed to Marjeeās Bar & Grill...
As soon as we steppped into the bar my daughterās father & I were welcomed with open arms, like we were regulars...
We ordered wings, burgers & fries...everything was awesome...if I ever return to Cleveland, I will be sure to stop back & visit...I hear their fish and Mac & cheese is amazing...the burgers & fries were homemade & although I couldnāt eat all of my food, I did take 3 wings & fries back to the hotel & kept them refrigerated...I even put them in a cooler on the way home...ended up eating them a few days later & they were still really good...
The bartender was very friendly & came over to us immediately as we walked towards a table to sit down...I felt like I was back at a hometown bar... The staff & customers were all so welcoming & I enjoyed talking to the bartender, talked to here liked weāve known each other for years lol...we both share GI issues...so we clicked right away...the customers also gave us advice on where to park for the concert...
š š thank you Marjeeās for a great 1st food experience in Cleveland...I will definitely return next time Iām in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly thing good is the hot buttered cornbread. The fish is too salty, collard greens taste like horribly seasoned canned greens, macaroni cheese was disgusting; I spit it out!, and pinto beans are soupy. They should rename the side dish, Pinto Beans as Pinto Beans Soup., well let's say I make better and I don't really cook. Sunday, I returned to give them 1 last chance: the gray haired waitress with light eyes made me regret my choice. She did not greet me upon my arrival instead she continually stared at me like we were in a western show down. I sat the bar and asked for a menu. She ignored me and greeted young men warmly who walked in after me. She immediately asked them for their order. I waited patiently as she laughed, joked, and hugged them. After greeting them she appeared to be receptive of taking my order but while taking my oder she retorted to being very rude so I canceled my order and told her I work too hard for my money to give it away to someone who has been rude to me. I told her I do not give my money to ppl who are rude to me. She was very argumentative. You need to get rid of this no class waitress/bartender and cook. This place needs rebranding, hire talented staff, Tri-C has a wonderful Culinary Program. I own a nearby business I will never give this restaurant/bar another chance because you too slow and cheap to follow recommendations. Do Asia Town a favor close your doors permanently! If I could give Zero...
