All we wanted was some good Sunday Brunch and this was not the place, the Atmosphere was nice though My husband asked for a cup of the coffee lady said wait a minute we don't have any clean mugs I have to go in the back to get a clean one do you know she brought out a dirty mug with brown stuff all over it looks like she just grabbed it out the sink that should have been our signal to leave, we told her we not drinking that. We dining inside do you know he brought my cheesy grits out in a plastic to-go bowl with the lid on I was wondering where is the rest of my food We asked why are the grits in a plastic to-go bowl we dining in the manager said that’s how we serve them, I tried them they were not cooked still gritty I sent them back. I ordered the BLT all you getting is two pieces of bacon small piece of lettuce two big slices of bread and a high price (smh) I was like where is the meat, the manager said " That's it. My husband ordered cinnamon Belgium waffles, cheesy eggs, and vegan sausage do you know the eggs came out cold and looked like mush the Belgium waffle was just a regular waffle with no cinnamon on it vegan sausage was nasty at this point we asked to speak to the manager he came over and we told him we don't want any of this he told us we can't get a refund and he took the grits and came back out with some more we told him we don't want them we we asked to speak to the owner at this point. The manager was getting nasty the cook came out and was very respectful and apologized we told the cook what happened he called the manager over and do you know the manger lied and said we told him we were fine with the food the cook told us we could have asked for our money back we told him we did but the manager said we couldn't get a refund that's why asked to speak to the owner we asked the cook who is the owner he told us he can't tell us that because the owner is being discreet. He said he was sorry we experienced that but they are in the process of hiring new staff they had just fired everybody and he was the only person cooking if we come back he’ll take good care of us that was nice of him we won't be back though. The cook I would give 5 stars because he was very nice and apologetic I will not recommend this place to anyone. If I could put a 0...
Read moreI was super excited to try this place, but I doubt we would return. Prices have gone up a lot from their menu on the site, so that was a surprise. Issues we had:
Beverages- They don't do ice water so you have to get a bottle which the price isn't listed $4 bottle of water! If that had been listed we would have at least gotten a better beverage. We did get one "unicorn lemonade" which I thought would have a bright pop of color but was just a muddled purple amongst random fruit for $6
Food- be prepared to wait awhile, two of our meals took 30 minutes, while my partners took 10, so he was finished before we received ours. His chicken and waffles were bad, the waffles were so hard they were a challenge to cut through, and the chicken was bland. Luckily our 2 sandwiches were pretty good- which was the only redeeming part of the visit. Potatoes weren't seasoned. Our two meals were boxed to go even though we ordered to eat in. Tables around us were having the same issues, one sending multiple things back to the kitchen, and all waiting an unreasonable amount of time.
Atmosphere- pretty inside but the music was crazy loud, we first sat down in the side room and had to get up because not only was it blaring-the speaker had an issue with the volume constantly fluctuating which was intolerable. Everything was served on disposable plates and cutlery, which wouldn't be a big deal but you're paying decent brunch prices for this so overall it wasn't worth it. $44 on two sandwiches one side of potatoes a lemonade and a water was not $ well spent. And my partner spent $25 on bad chicken and waffles and a bottled water! All to order at the counter too, so you're choosing gratuity before seeing how rough the service is.
All these issues are definitely solvable ones so hopefully they will be able to correct it in the future because it is a unique concept...
Read moreWe came in and ordered two sandwiches, two drinks and one order of the donut holes. I wouldn't call them beignets as these just reminded me of greasy Tim bits from Tim Hortons. They were out of OJ for our drinks so they had to improvise, which isn't terrible. Their service, timing and general unpreparedness is what was atrocious. First they took about 20 minutes to make 2 cocktails. We asked about coffee and they didn't have cups??? So no orange juice and no coffee available but you call yourself a breakfast place?
The timing for our two breakfast sandwiches was absurd. We were told 20 minutes which is still way too long for two breakfast sandwiches but we tried to be patient. And now 45 minutes later and still no food whatsoever, we went to the counter and asked for a refund because we were going to leave and go eat somewhere else. The cashier said they don't do refunds! Are kidding me?! You have a point of sale system and there is no sign warning customers that all sales are final so I'm guessing this is breaking a law or two. Magically our food "just came up" while we waited for the cashier to come back out front or to bring the manager up front to talk to us. They had it boxed up to go and we left and they couldn't even get the order right. Gave us the wrong sandwich.
If this is your attitude to customers, you'll be out of business soon enough. You sign should say "maybe Brunch, definitely bad vibes."
The couple who ordered ahead of us also waited at least 40 minutes for their food and the woman took her plate immediately back to the counter because her order was wrong.
Absolutely terrible and would warn everyone to stay...
