We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and two drinks in the drive thru. There was two cars ahead of us and four cars behind us. When we got to the window to collect our food, a car ahead of us was waiting at the sidewalk for their meal. The McDonald’s employee at the window informed us the meal was not ready and asked us to park in one of the spots ahead. We pulled up parked in the spot and waited for least 10 to 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the car that was originally ahead of us drove around came back to other times. I took the kids out of the car, walked in with my receipt and asked what was going on, they did not know I had been waiting and asked to see my receipt. Upon reading the receipt, they informed me they had apparently given my food to the customer that had driven around several times. I asked for a refund when speaking to the manager at first, she refused And said she would just make my food and it would be another 5 to 10 minutes. I informed her I would no longer wait for the food and that she needed to give me a refund right now. Another employee came out that was the actual manager apologizedand gave me my refund. The entire process took close to a half hour for two cheeseburgers and two drinks. The Stuart and North Lee McDonald’s in Cleveland Tennessee has to be the worst on every front for fast food restaurant. The staffing is terrible. The management is terrible. Read moreThe drive thru experience we received was exceptionally great. the person operating the speaker/taking orders/collecting money was very happy and very bubbly. The workers within seemed to be very focused and sounded as if they were all happy to be working together and the person who handed us our food and drinks was polite and seemed to be happy with their coworkers and job just as everyone else. It reflected a well managed and trained crew. Literally everyone at this McDonald's was working together better than most fine dining restaurants crew members. I really liked how they communicated after they handed the drinks through the window and by this I mean, they were sure to verbally prompt us about the status of our food and kindly waited for a response before shutting the window even though it was raining on them and never lost their smile even when turning around. To me all of these things make the world's difference in great customer service because that is the environment that makes the experience of "fast food" feel better and more accepting than some top rated high end 5 star restaurants. Good food is nice but kindness lives forever in the hearts of those who care. I was in the passenger seat so I was able to soak in the atmosphere a little better than if I had been driving. Read moreOrderdered on app, order accepted. Went to get it at 10:50 pm they close at 11, well I get there and they are closed. I call in to tell them its not closing time and they accepted my order,so I am at your window waiting. Guy says we are closed, I asked for mgr he states he is mgr (Daniel) and while it is still not 11 they are closed. I told him I was filing complaint, he sends kid to window and I simply told him to close window I did not need him, I was just getting number off window to file complaint. 2 issues....1. Abide by business hours 2. Mgr should have come to window to speak with me, to rectify the issue, which did not happen, no apologies or anything. So now my money on card, not available, had to go 15 mins out to another location, didn't get to use my app, my card locked up from issue at first location. They constantly look closed when they are not after dark, you'd think the power was out. Bottom line.....lazy, unprofessional and just do not care, they need to get out of customer service.
