I have wanted to try this indian restaurant for quite a while now but not only I am quite picky since im used to authentic NYC indian food but well my family and kiddos only like basic and mild indian foods (americanized palette). So there is usually a huge controversy in my household when it comes to indian food preferences. However, today I dine alone aha!!! Lol and so, perfect timing for me to try it. When you first walk in the dinning room you are immediately welcome by the friendliness of hostes and the delicious scent of Indian cuisine (not overpowering smells surprisingly). The restaurant was very clean (including the bathrooms), organized and the decor was plain not indian influenced. The lighting and temperature was perfect. I was able to order 2 lunch specials for $10.99 each for a total of $24.78. They each comes with an appetizer a main dish and Naan bread. GREAT DEAL!!! The service was very attentive and fast. The appetizers - Chiken 65 was full of flavor and so crunchy!!! which I loved!!!! At the same time I found this dish to be quite mild and subttle. It had a well balance of spices with a hint of smokyness at the end. The spicy level is zero so don't be afraid to give it to the kiddos, think of it a a crunchy Indian ckn bite or nugget. Tip: Make sure to to make the perfect bite squeeze some lemon and a dollop of mint chutney and OMG! The samosa was very Delish! Was served with it notorious flaky crunchy crust mmm, at the Perfect temperature and with a side of chutney. The filling was savory and I dare to say creamy. I tasted delicious spices and the ghee in the creamy potatoes and peas, delicioso!!! 100% vegetarian 😋 so no guilt! The main dishes: The butter chicken was so good! The sauce is so Rich! Just delish!!!! This dish is Smooth! So creamy and oh my! So full of flavor. To describe the sauce in full; is a creamy butter, tomatoish 🍅 infused sauce with tender pieces of stew chicken. It's spicy level is mild...so again, don't fret and try it lol. The panner Tika Masala was my favorite today! Eventho I found this dish to be milder than I'm used to, I have to admit that it still was well balanced and Super rich in flavor! The gravy was soo creamy with a small hint of tangy spice at the end (again not spicy). The Spices seemed to happy dance is this prerfectly smooth gravy and make sure to dip the Naan in it for a PERFECT BITE! YUMMMMM this dish is a beginning for those that
This restaurant in my opinion is perfect for those begining their relationship and journey with indian food! I know I will make this place my indian favorite when in cleveland...
Read moreI finally decided to try this place on a dreary, rainy, nasty Sunday afternoon. Some good spicy curry seemed like a good option for lunch on an otherwise nasty day, and I must say I was not disappointed. I called in a carryout order, I got the house special chicken curry, the Chicken 65 which is like boneless chicken deep fried in spices, the boneless chicken briyani and the potato naan. Everything was absolutely delicious, seriously, I'm normally a fairly slow eater but I could not stop chowing down. I will probably order "Spicy" rather than "medium" next time, simply because I do like spicy food and I ordered medium this time because I wasn't sure what their spice scale was, and my girlfriend had never had Indian food, so I didn't want to go crazy, but we both agreed more spice would be welcome. Which isn't to say the food wasn't delicious, just not quite as spicy as we expected.
Prices were extremely reasonable, I paid roughly $37 and I got more than enough food for two meals for me and my girlfriend, and it was all fresh and delicious.
The restaurant was visibly clean, the owner or manager was walking around sanitizing surfaces and maintaining a generally clean storefront, all the employees had masks and gloves, there were multiple groups dining in which is generally a good sign, and there were even other carryout customers waiting on orders,
Unfortunately I don't have any photos to add, because the mouthwatering odor was overwhelming and I busted open the to go containers and dished up our lunch as soon as I got home, but seriously, cannot recommend enough, try this place. Cleveland has dozens of Mexican restaurants and fast food joints, it's nice to have something different, and at such high quality,...
Read moreI discovered this awesome Indian restaurant when I was in Cleveland picking my dogs up from a dog kennel. I was really hungry as I had just arrived back in TN from a 2 Day drive back from Colorado. So I decided to stop and try this Indian place. I was in a hurry and had my dogs so I just got food to go. I was so surprised at how delicious the food was. I live in Ooltewah and like Naan House better then the other Indian restaurants near my home. I have gone to an Indian restaurant in Collegedale and Chattanooga and was not impressed. Another time when I was in Cleveland I decided to pick up some Indian food at Naan House and it was just as good as the first time I went. It is also a clean restaurant. And today I had a doctor appointment in Cleveland and so I decided to go ahead and get Indian food once again this was my third time and I was still very pleased with my food. Since I’m a vegan, I really appreciate that they have some vegan and vegetarian options that are very delicious. I usually get the naan bread but today I tried a Samosa. I also loved the dipping sauces that came with it. The food does not taste like they use heavy oils and actually the Samosa was baked. I also like that they don’t overcook the vegetables. This will always be my favorite Indian restaurant. I highly recommend anyone looking for great tasting and healthy food to go to the Naan...
