Blimpie — Restaurant in Cliffside Park

I never write bad reviews. This is my first ever. Before today, I would have given a higher rating. I used to love this blimpies. But I ordered for delivery and while placing my order for a combo, they assumed I wanted a 12inch without asking me which size, when for YEARS a combo is generally 6inches (unless you specify for 12inch). But they've always asked. When I called back, (I hadn't even opened the bag but we noticed they were 12in,) the man who answered whom I assume to be the manager, Argued with me for 11 straight minutes about how this was my fault, complained I couldn't give the sandwiches back to the driver even though they had not left the bag and then complained that I would have free food. He said he could not refund me the price he overcharged, but after a few minutes of that he said he would discount me $10 off of my next order, which wasn't even the amount his mistake had me overpay. Reluctantly, he said minutes later, I would get my refund at the end of the night. Mind you they close at 3am. Afterasking him, if even after his next delivery he could come back, 40 minutes later, the delivery driver did come back to give me my refund, which unfortunately came from his own pocket. The owner had not given him the money. I feel very sorry for the driver, he had absolutely nothing to do with the owner's rudeness or mistake, and I hope he gets...

This is not Russian food but guess what I do not care. I love it and I think Russians should officially make items from this RTR menu their traditional food.

Colors everywhere, red and gold, and lights! so where are the bears who play balalayka while riding a unicycle? where are Russian beautiful women with long thick blond braids wearing colorful tiaras.? On a bright side they have a gift shop ;)

So party of six- half of them are women so I'm not being sexist here but they were late as I thought. So we lost our table, had to wait for almost an hour for another table. One of my guests got upset and irritable and started pursing lips and threatened to leave. Guess my guests gender- its male! Lovely hostess apologized - got us a table and offered some drinks on the house which was very pleasant touch.

Food was amazing. I know traditional Russian food since I lived in Brooklyn for few years and made my escape before they tried to Russianize me. So the verdict -food is not traditional Russian but its well executed and delicious. Goat cheese crepes are just a flavor bomb, they are soft and dense yet light . filled with goat cheese and jam but without overwhelming saltiness or sweetness. Chicken and filet Mignon were tender and well cooked. Desserts are rich and very flavorful as well.

I was staying at a nice cliffside air b and b so ordered from the Cliffside Park Blimpies. I ordered a ham and salami w cheese sandwich he ask me twice what kind of cheese I wanted and I told him! Sandwich arrived 1 slice of ham 1 slice of salami no cheese I called them to report the issue and he says I put the required amount of cold cuts on the sandwich and he sends me a replacement with cheese this time he says he forgot the cheese because it was busy and purposely puts dried spoiled hard crusty edges very old cheese on the sandwich! Very disgusting place didn’t eat it and to add to the issue I ordered a Snapple and they only had 2 flavors and they got that wrong as well super unprofessional place never 👎 ordering from this Blimpies again was charged $15 for a 6 inch 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of salami on .50 cent bread sandwich. Had to repeat my address 6 times and he repeated it back to me and I spelled it out for him and he still got it wrong too. Added pics of the first and second sandwich with crusty old cheese.
