Bowl Shake — Restaurant in Cliffside Park

I stopped by recently as I am a big fan of smoothies and shakes. The staff here was friendly and were welcoming when I walked in which is nice. I tried one of their protein shakes with banana and peanutbutter and it came out pretty fast. The shake was nice as it tasted like a peanutbutter dessert which is what I wanted. Taste wise, this was definitely up to par. One thing I would have added is whipped cream, but that is not common for a protein shake anyway. I really liked that there were no chunky bits in the shake as it was all smooth and consistent. Overall, the quality was good, but the cup itself was pretty small in my opinion for a shake that came out to 10 dollars and change after tax. This is around the price of some of the competition around, so I know a ten dollar shake is not completely unheard of. That said, I would recommend bumping up the size for that price. I will say that they did fill my cup up completely which is appreciated; some other spots have skimped around here leaving a lot of cup space open, these people it. Bowl Shake is that place. I had the amazing luck to stumble upon this place when I was absolutely famished post an intense powerlifting workout, and boy oh boy did the bowl and smoothies hit the spot. As a low-level elite powerlifter with a strong desire in maintaining good health and wellness, the selection screams nothing but health and wellness. I had the peanut butter protein acai bowl, the tropical fire juice blend, the mango aloha smoothie, and the nutter butter protein shake. I have never felt so full, satisfied, and anabolic in my life. On a previous visit I was told by the owner that gluten free granola would now be available that I do not need to bring my own anymore so today I park three blocks away walk there to be told oh no we don't have it anymore.

Totally irresponsible business ownership no wonder it's always empty when I go in there. No problem though I will be switching to another location right up the road for my bowls from now on. There is no excuse if they simply ran out there are major supermarkets blocks away that stock it where it could be emergency...
