Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Clifton

I just left this establishment, the person who greeted seemed to be in a hurry . She didn’t ask me if I wanted beans and rice , she went straight to asking me if I wanted dark or white meat . I asked what the dark meat look like , and she pointed to the pan . I couldn’t see , because it was down the bottom. I settled for the white meat . She asked me about the pico . I said yes . I also asked for queso on my chicken club stack. She came to the register and instructed me what to do . Meantime she has moved on to the other two customers. She didn’t know if I wanted anything else . As I’m waiting for her to come back to the register to finish my transaction and provide a receipt, I heard her ask the others if they wanted black beans. . I went back over the find out if she put beans on my stack . She replied, “ you didn’t ask for beans, I put on what you asked me for . She offered a side cup of black beans, because my sandwich was done already . While I’m STILL waiting for her to finish my transaction , I looked at my sandwich and noticed there was no rice either. Again , she said she gave me what I asked for. Then she put me on hold to finish up with the other two people. She says she’d get to me after the others . I politely said in a quiet tone , you should have finished with me first before moving on . I wanted her to remake my sandwich, but she seemed to be in such a hurry , I didn’t ask . I must say , I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE service I RECEIVED FROM this establishment. I even left a tip that was before I realized my sandwich didn’t have the first two ingredients most employees ask you when making your sandwich. Maybe some customer service training should be...

"Welcome To Moe's!"

I really enjoy the vibe at the Clifton, New Jersey Moe's. The twenty-something, college-aged staff does a great job on Sunday's to serve families. We habitually visit a Moe's on Sundays, since kids eat free (for select entrees). But, this location, more than others, exhibits the friendliest vibe thanks to its young, vibrant staff.

We almost never have to request the kids' discount on Sundays. Employees are ready and waiting for the family clientele to enter at the 11:30 a.m. opening time. We head there right after church.

Our only criticism - this is more of Moe's corporate than Clifton - is that the taco shell for Close Talker salads has been discontinued. Hopefully, it'll make a triumphant return! On a positive note, the typical, loud, "Welcome to Moe's" is no longer piercing to the ears when you walk in; whomever made that adjustment must've responded to customer dissatisfaction - we never thought to comment on it, and simply accepted it as gospel for the restaurant.

Negatives? • Kids' eat free option doesn't include meat in the quesadilla (on Sundays)

Advice for potential customers? ◘ Download the Moe's app and rack-up the points towards coupon value! You can choose how much of the cash credit reward you want to use... that's unheard of at other restaurants with...

We visited here this past week for the T-Mobile offer of the $4 Moe's bowl or burrito. We had a bit of an issue with one of the offers saying it had already been used on that visit, but the manager who is actually preparing food told us he would gladly fix the problem for us and he did.

Food was delicious and filling and They informed us that they were closing soon but not rushing us out. Both the other employees that were preparing food and ringing at the register were extremely friendly and welcoming. Performing exactly as you would want your best employees to do so. We can always tell when employees are genuinely happy at their job and we really felt this here!

Since it was the end of the day they had run out of a couple ingredients, but nothing that really mattered to our food. And honestly I prefer places that run out of food because it shows that they are delivering fresh ingredients each day.

As always we recommend downloading the app for any store that has one and Moe's Southwest has their own app. Especially if you're going to order from here more than once.
