My recent dining experience at San Antonio 3 left me with a sour taste in more ways than one. To put it bluntly, it was a disaster from start to finish. The first disappointment came in the form of poorly prepared food. The tacos de carnitas I ordered were a culinary catastrophe; the tortillas were falling apart, and it seemed as if there was more skin than meat in the tacos. Hoping for a reprieve, I headed to the restroom, only to be greeted by a scene straight out of a horror film. It looked like the cleaning staff had taken the day off, or perhaps they were indulging in the same culinary delights as the kitchen staff. The dirty sinks, grime-covered mirrors, and mud puddle in the corner left me questioning the restaurant's commitment to hygiene. As if the culinary and restroom nightmares weren't enough, the service was the final nail in the coffin. The waitstaff seemed to be engaged in a competition to see who could be the most indifferent and inattentive. I've read other reviews on this place complaining about the attitude of the waitress, and for the most part it seems to be mostly if not completely true. Requests for extra napkins and water were met with eyerolls and exasperated sighs. Of course, one cannot talk about this restaurant without also mentioning the obnoxious decor. The murals on the walls were plastered with a cacophony of colors that clashed so violently they made my eyes ache. The seating was equally baffling, with chairs that looked like they had been salvaged from a yard sale. The decor felt like a desperate attempt to compensate for its culinary shortcomings. In summary, my visit to San Antonio was a disaster of epic proportions. The food, grimy restrooms, and abysmal service combined to create an experience that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. It pains me to say that this establishment has two other locations, both of which I tried and are equally unsatisfying. I can only hope that the restaurant improves dramatically or shuts its...
Read moreThe food here is absolutely delicious! And the service is great too. There are large and small groups that come here often to celebrate birthdays and other events because it’s beautiful inside, the decor is gorgeous, the prices are great and the food is outstanding! We celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday here over the weekend and the servers were hustling. It was a little chaotic because many guests were not seated when food was being brought out. So if you read any reviews, especially from someone named Dennis, who attended, please ignore. Most of the guests at the party were new to the restaurant and mentioned that they were looking for a good Mexican restaurant and would return. The manager, Karen, was lovely to work with as my brother and I planned the celebration. The mariachi band they referred us to performed well and arrived on time. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, whether for just a family meal or for a...
