Finnagel's — Restaurant in Clinton Township

We just moved to the area and are looking for a new place to frequent, and on paper this restaurant checked all of the boxes.

We get seated and order a kid's quesadilla with chicken for our 2 year old. When it arrives, there's no fries (which seems absurd for a $12.95 food item). In addition, I've never once seen a kid's quesadilla come with spicy salsa with the chicken. You can generally safely assume there's only 2 ingredients in a kid's menu chicken quesadilla - chicken and cheese. When I brought this up to the server, she took it away and brought us a new one 20 minutes later and basically said deal with it.

My wife's pretzels came with 7-11 nacho cheese that was hard, and I'm glad I didn't order food.

When the check came, I was billed for the food we didn't eat and sent back, and when I said how absurd that was and that I wish this went differently because now I'm not coming back, the server said "that's good for you."

Absolutely disrespectful, absurdly priced for garbage food, and I'll starve to death before I give this place another penny.

As far as restaurants are concerned, this place is truly bottom of the barrel. I'm sure the bar is fine though but you couldn't pay me to go back.

so, I have been told by multiple people that this place is worth a stop by........ and they lied. The vibe was fine but nothing special, service was great, food was dreadfully pathetic. bland and not even served as advertised on the menu descriptions. we got the on special pesto pasta, which literally had dry herbs and oil as its "pesto", pasta was overcooked too and the whole dish just ate bland. The regular app of porto mushrooms had no flavor at all and was beyond bland, even the Caesar salad was bland. Nothing tasted house made (other than the croutons, which anyone can make in their sleep), quality controlled or even put together with care. everything here is obviously frozen, jarred/canned, or bought pre-made product being dressed up to steal your money. don't waste your time with the food. I can see grabbing a beer at the bar for a game, but at this point I doubt they even clean their draft lines enough to say a draft beer is worth it. The server was good at her job but it was obvious that she knows the food there sucked due to her taking it off the bill easily without questions. won't be returning, hope you guys revamp and fix the food, it's...

Ordered shrimp scampi they gave us 6 pieces of shrimp but it was alone in a lemon butter sauce the number did not bother me because I know how it is when you order it. Wanted a dozen of bread sticks and they did not include them said didn’t have a dozen so told them I would take all they had because it was 4 people so that is all they gave me. I have never had such a disappointment in a restaurant locally until now. The only potatoes we could get was French fries because they didn’t cook potatoes until 5. Ordered French onion soup all they put in it is croutons no cheese on top. Really am wondering if they know how to make anything. The place was recommended and will never go again. Looked on website and it said that the sirloin steak was $20.99 and we were charged $31. I always receive better service from Jake and Riles and it is less expensive. I am sorry if you people like this place. I have traveled from one coast to another and from the gulf to Canada, and never had such an awful experience.
