No music was playing while we dined in. We could hear everyone. Miso soup seaweed was chewy, and looked old.
I got a special roll - tasted good and was warm and delicious ! Dinner bento box - The bento box contained rice, stir fry chicken, the panko chicken, another thing, I'm not sure what it was in the corner and California roll. The dish came out Luke warm, the sushi was good, the chicken that was panko I only received 2 strips... And 4 pieces of veggies. I was rather disappointed.
I've been to better sushi places at a better price point, and better quality. The waiter there was very kind, it just seemed like a weird environment. It was bizarre thing was When he asked what we wanted to drink, I asked for boba. They have boba tea promoted on their front desk which made me assume that they sell boba. Which we were very wrong.
They ended up just telling us to go grab out of the cooler for a drink. I don't believe I'll be back in the future because of the food quality was very subpar, The dining experience wasn't as nice As I hoped? I'm not one to go out of my way to make reviews but I feel like I had to because it was just not that great --- I wouldn't be going back here in the future. It just didn't seem very good.
My friend had the Tom yum soup and she said it was very good but spicy for her because she has no tolerance for spice, which wasn't specified...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas in the area visiting my sister and nephew and was introduced to this place by him. I had high expectations of this place and it did not disappoint. Firstly, the food was amazing. I had the eel avocado roll and mango Hawaii with miso soup on the side. I am not very into raw fish and when I asked the staff they introduced me to a simple eel avocado roll that turned out better than expected. Iāve had other eel avocados from other places as well, but the eel was too salty or the avocado had gone bad. It felt like they were masking bad avocados with salty fish. Like seriously? How can avocados go bad in a sushi restaurant? Anyways, I was a bit hesitant on trying anything eel related because of that. Now that I am back home⦠I wonder where they source their eels from (haha). I am from NYC and I am very surprised to find this gem all the way in New Jersey. These young folks sure do know their foods!
The service was well. They were attentive. Nothing extraordinary, but itās just how I like it.
I was honestly blown away by the fun I had with my family that I will have to give this place a 5/5. Amazing. Chill. And super delicious. I may make this place a must go to whenever I visit them now.
I didnāt go during lunch special hours but I saw they had good options for many different rolls. So if anyone lives nearby definitely take...

The lobster AND the meat were small diced portions of overcooked, dry meat (lobster too). You would think this was prepared for a toddler or an elderly person who canāt chew. ActuallyāCHEWY really IS the best word to describe this food. Like chewing gristle. Iāve been reading reviews and itās always the purchaserās fault or the fault of the front-end girlāanything other than maybe they need to rethink the quality and preparation of their food. When I called to complain, I spoke to the owner who told me that I was wrong, their food is āadored by allā and was trying to āstart troubleā. The only trouble I had was paying $50 for an inedible meal.
SINCE IM NOT ABLE TO DIRECTLY RESPOND TO THE OWNER: I already said in my original post that itās clear you shirk responsibility for the negative reviews. I live in Clinton, so yes, I ordered at the restaurant in Clinton. I also spoke DIRECTLY TO YOU, THE OWNER. In fact, you were extremely rude to me. Stop...
