I can tell you this is honestly one of my favorite places! First, there are these delicious fresh bagels that are made right there every morning. Lots of different flavors so there is something for everyone. Not to mention they and they are out of this world, I have been spoiled! I will no longer buy bagels anywhere else if I can help it. They also have these wonderful flavored cream cheese spreads if you want to kick it up a notch. Second, is the Viennese Cinnamon Coffee that they have year round. It is my favorite. Sometimes I will just stop in for coffee, it is so tasty it's like having a gourmet calorie laden Latte from an expensive coffee shop, except it is not expensive and it isn't a Latte just a regular coffee that is crazy yummy. Third, they do do small lunch menus and have other goodies to offer. So whether it be getting a coffee and bagel for breakfast or running over to pickup something for lunch you should give the place a try.
The down sides are that the place is relatively small (it still has that "hole in the wall" feel). Because of the size there doesn't always tend to be a lot of room especially during the morning rush, so you can expect to wait in line next to other eager patrons. Depending on the demand or how busy the day is they may run into a shortage situation where others have bought up your favorite bagel and they are busy baking other ones, which means you may just have to try a different kind. Because they only do breakfast and lunch they tend to only be open till 2 pm or so, don't expect to stop in later in the afternoon for a late lunch or just to grab a bagel after work for the next morning.Other than that, the inside of the place could use a renovation or remodeling (IMHO) as it seems a bit outdated. The last thing would be that the customer service is different depending on the amount of people that are waiting and when there are a lot of people in line there doesn't seem to be a great system in regards to consistency. When it's busy you may or may not get greeted, you will probably stand in line with other people coming in from both the front and back doors. The employees will be so busy behind the counter that they may or may not know who is next or who was in line first. If a new customer comes in for the first time when it is really busy I can see that the place might be confusing to navigate without getting frustrated.
All that being said, I still love this place and the coffee and bagels certainly make it...
Read moreBeen going here for 5 years and I looove the bagels. They're fresh and not overdone. The dough is spectacular. Cream cheese and sandwiches are all great. I'm giving them 3 stars because I always have an issue with ordering a harvest bagel. If I'm there by 6am they don't have them done and when I go by 9am they're sold out. So not very convenient for commuters or those going to work. This has happened many times. Also they let sick people work and I've seen people cough all over the bagels. They also don't use gloves to prepare food and handle money at the same time. Hygiene and inventory needs to be improved because these are by far the best bagels! Wish they had online ordering bc the lines are long and sometimes the phone orders take a while to get thru due to only having...
Read moreWhile they don't have a jalapeno bagel, they do have the best jalapeno cream cheese. they use fresh jalapenos in their cream cheese instead of pickled jalapenos and also add some light seasoning to it. should you wish, they would be happy to add freshly diced fresh jalapenos to your bagel sandwich for additional kick.
the staff that work here are super helpful and very nice. The prices are all round reasonable. There is a reason why this place is packed in the mornings. So plan to wait a few minutes for your order to be prepared.
The bagels are also excellent. They are toasted to a perfect crisp on the outside and slightly soft and chewy on the inside. This is a gem that I will be visiting every time I go up...
