Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Clinton

I have had laughably terrible customer service every single time I have come to your Layton Location. I had to write a review about the last one. It has been a couple of months so I decided to try again. Another BIG MISTAKE. I waited in the drive thru line 15 mins before even being able to place my order. This is the first time I have ever used it, so I don't know what the usual wait time is. I got home and started eating and realized this was NOT my order. I tried to call and got no answer. I packed up the food, drove back and waited in the drive thru line again. Fortunately for me, the two cars ahead of me pulled off pretty fast without ordering. I found out why when I got to the ordering phase myself. I was informed they were out of chicken and rice. I told him why I was there and that I had not ordered chicken and didn't really care about the rice. He had me pull to the window to tell him what I wanted, which took another 10 minutes.

I told him the entree, the sauce, the pick, and lettuce. He repeated back to be sure and I told him yes. He gave my order pretty quickly and was very nice.

When I got home, I was surprised that the container had leaked so much inside the bag. I had to open it in my sink. I am sending you a picture of what was inside. You can see the mess and what was missing. I am EXTREMELY unhappy and just exhausted with this. I am DONE with this restaurant. I understand that one person may not mean that much to you. But these are your employees and this is what they regularly do and how they regularly treat YOUR customers. I have read the reviews from multiple websites and platforms. I work in marketing and this is honestly NO WAY to run a business.

Absolutely horrible experience. We decided to do an online order for the first time and it told us our food would be ready At 6:20, we showed up at 6:22 and there was a line of about 7 people in front of us to pick up online orders. It took about 10 minutes to get through the line and they told me they were having problems with the online print outs which is why it was slow. So they told me they would get right on it and bring it to me when it was done. I stepped aside and allowed them to help others. After watching probably 30 people go through the regular ordering line, get their food and sit down to eat, (this went on for about 15 minutes.), I asked how much longer. She went and checked and came back to tell me that it would be about 5-10 more minutes. Why did I order online? I could've got in line right then, reordered my whole order again and still got it before my online order was done. The whole reason you order online or over the phone is to not have to wait at the restaurant for your food, and yet we waited triple the time it would have taken to just order at the restaurant to go. They had no good explanation. I will never order online again and very possibly never go back to that store. Needless to say we told them to cancel our order and we went somewhere else. So...

Costa vida is always a great option for lunch! Dine in is open, or you can order to go. I ordered to go, and it was quick in and out today! I love the grilled chicken salad with the tortilla on the side with the creamy tomatillo ranch dressing! I also love their chips and salsa!

Returned again last week and enjoyed a delicious raspberry chicken salad with the mango salsa! If you haven’t tried the raspberry chicken, you need to! It’s amazing. It’s got such a great flavor - hard to explain. It’s seriously so good! ❤️❤️❤️

I love this place - was craving a salad on Saturday and Costa’s grilled chicken is the best! I brought my sister, and she got the steak quesadilla- they put grilled peppers and onions in the quesadilla, and it was soooo good. I may have to go back and get that next time! Highly recommend this location.
