I have almost completely stopped eating at Tony Burger due to the service but tonight took the cake enough to write a review. The person taking our order in Clinton at 6:35 PM missed the fries and at one point they were on the order because I saw them as she rang it up so I missed it at the end. She did not do a repeat back of our order because taking orders was clearly of tremendous annoyance to her. She was rude (meaning so quiet no one could hear her, no repeat back, visibly annoyed) to every patron there despite no one being rude to her including me. I had to wait in line again to order fries while my food in my to go order was getting cold. I think waited 16 additional minutes and watched people who ordered large orders of burgers and fries receive their orders. I hate to sound entitled here but when my order had an error and I paid for the fries when I went back through the line because I was not asking for anything for free to compensate and I explained it was left off my order then, yes, I expect to receive my fries before other orders so that my entire order does not get cold. That didn’t happen. After 16 minutes I complained, hopefully it came across as mostly polite as I did not my frustration to be too obvious to a group of teenagers.
If teenagers are unwilling to provide the service that they are hired to do, I suspect there’s other teenagers willing to work. It’s unfortunate the service taints the food that could have been excellent had it still been warm.
Editing to upgrade to 4 stars because despite being cold burgers by the time we got the fries, the burgers still had an excellent flavor. Very frustrating it was all cold but I have to give credit for the nice flavor that’s almost like a...
Read moreI have to say, they make the best damn burgers I've ever had! The only reason the knock down on their rating is purely because of their prices are very high. They could literally have a line of people out their doors every day if their prices weren't so high. But because of their prices, I will only go there maybe once a month. I crave their burgers all the time and would eat there way more often, but simply hate paying the price and couldn't afford it if I did. I know I'm far from being the only person that thinks this. Everyone I talk to about their burgers agree with me. They could be huge and expanding like crazy if they would just figure out their pricing to be competitive and budget friendly, but they cannot skimp and let their quality laps! This is key! One place that they could model after is Philadelphia Sub Shop in Clearfield, UT. They make the best cheesesteaks and always have lines out their doors. I can get the equivalent quality and quantity of food as Tonyburger there, but at easily $5 dollars cheaper per person. They sell-out daily! They are only open a few hours a day and sell-out easily before closing. The owner refuses to franchise because he's happy and his employees are happy, so he doesn't want the headache of franchising. That's the only reason they aren't expanding like crazy. Tonyburger is franchised and doesn't have anywhere near the costumer volume every day. They could learn a thing or two! It's really quite unfortunate they don't realize what they have and how to...
Read moreFor 10+ years the Clinton Tonyburger has been a treat for my family. Now its a complete disappointment because they can't get an order right. In the last year we have dropped Tonyburger to maybe once ever 3 months. Before we were maybe twice a month depending. Our reduction is all because of your employees and their inablilty to get something right. Today was the latest. When I pay $2 for an egg on a burger and get home and don't have an Egg TonyBurger has ruined my day!! I don't really care about the $2 I care about not getting to eat what I wanted!! And no I'm not driving back over to Clinton just to exchange an order. the 5 mile drive in that terrible part of town is not worth the time! You guys suck! How hard is it really. While we are here maybe a marker to label boxes so when I order 5 burgers we don't have to pick though peoples food and play GD detective! If you need a sharpie you my $2 to buy one!!! Off my list for sure! When its good food and bad service I would rather go somewhere else!
Update: I was contacted by someone at TonyBurger about this. He explained ongoing training issues. I really like TonyBurger food so I have updated my stars to give them a...
