Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Clinton

I used to thoroughly enjoy Zaxby’s. Now it’s just young kids who have no customer service or sense. Today’s experience consisted of being hurried through the drive thru menu, “Are you done?” Once we reached the window, our food was shoved out at us and not a word was spoken.

The food, however, was hot and Zaxby’s delicious! I guess eating Cane’s sauce had me expecting something similar from the Zax sauce. And yes, it’s similar but the Zax sauce is a bit more peppery. Tastes good though! Gives it a distinguishable twist from Cane’s. Oh! We saw they have funnel cake and gave it a whirl. Surprisingly it was pretty good. The right amount of breading and softness ratio. Tastes great with the caramel dip or even just by itself.

The food is decent, but the Clinton location has become an inaccessible traffic hazard. For whatever reason, and despite having a perfectly good dining room, the restaurant refuses to open for anything except drive-through service. The drive-through window already was intolerably slow, and the discontinuation of inside dining has turned a chronic annoyance into a public safety concern. The row of cars in the Zaxby’s line often completely blocks the Highway 80 entrances to Kroger. Inevitably, a vehicular accident will result (assuming it hasn’t already), and Zaxby’s should be on notice of its culpability. I said the food is decent. It is, but not nearly so decent that I would sit in an interminable drive-through line...

It is usually good. This time, however, I ordered unsweet tea and paid extra for a ranch. They gave me extremely sweet tea (I even asked at the window to make sure they heard me say unsweet) and didn't give the extra ranch. When I got home with my order, I noticed these issues. I called up there to let them know (who knows, maybe they accidentally sweetened the wrong tea urn). The lady didn't try to make amends and only said "I do apologize". No offer of exchange or to put my name down for a free drink next time. Also, the fries weren't salted and the chicken was soggy. Just very disappointed considering how long the drive through line...
