El Burrito Loco — Restaurant in Clive

My girlfriend and I had the amazing opportunity at eating at El burrito loco tonight and we are by far incredibly impressed with not only the quality of food but also the quality of the service. They have by far the best horchata in the Des Moines area, they also provide this other that's made out of hibiscus flower it's incredibly delicious. As far as meals go I had their signature El burrito loco which is by far the best burrito I've had in the morning. My girlfriend on the other hand has one of each their tacos that they offer and was incredibly impressed with each taco particularly the carnitas. We really like they meats and seasoning. Usually moist and flavorful with great portions. Great homemade chorizo. They raised prices about 25% in 2024 and are no longer that much cheaper than a restaurant. Their salsas are quite watery and could use a pinch of salt and more lime. Usually get tacos but tried a burrito recently and it was huge and lots of meat. The grilled onions with every meal are nice. It can be hard to know when they're there as I've had google maps show "open" and there's no truck, but if you see this one give it a try! One of the better...

On 05/13/23 I went to visit this small business for the first time! First the woman who assisted me and my friend was super sweet and very helpful. She helped us make a choice that was perfect for us! I ordered the California burrito and she ordered the quesadilla! When I say this was the BEST small business I have had in soooo long! It's a breath of fresh air to know these places exist. Great portions and beautiful flavor. Please PLEASE help small businesses like THIS to grow!...
