Eagle's Nest — Restaurant in Clover

Service is friendly and food is okay fried mushrooms tasted like shake n bake they used to be really great ,def won't get them again. and the cheese frys taste like they have that cheap liquid nacho cheese and the meat is sweet. Was not a fan but the other things we have tried are great. Pie is top notch.( edit bc I can't respond) I have read through other reviews and I see alot saying the food is dry this is very true I think maybe the cooks fear under cooking so they over cook as 2x we had got very dry fried fish and the burgers also maybe talk w your cook about proper cook tines and allowing the foods to rest b4 halfing them or a timer. It's a simple mistake but an easy fix. Please do change the mushroom badder back. I had bragged about this place as I've only had it a few times and things have changed some almost like they are to rushed to get food onto the plate ,while fast service is greatly appreciated quality is far more valued. I highly recommend as I've seen others say. The ranch its clear its bottled which a good homeade ranch can really up the game!! Especially being a mom and pop store. Which almost always has homage sauce like BBQ ranch and a great house sauce ( I tried the house sauce it has an insane amount of I belive vinegar and mayo w a kick of hot sauce.) Ild def play w that and perfect it. I ended up tossing both the ranch and that. I truly hope the review helps as I see alot of the same small complaints but that's why people love mom and pop places its for that no where else taste. I will continue to support the buisness and proud to send others there but definitely please look into fixing these and up the game. Again your staff is outstanding and full of life employing teens I know is risky lol but ya got some good ones!! who care and are very proud...

I have never been more appalled by how a coworker can speak so negatively to another, especially during a busier service. I ordered a hamburger large fry and a bbq bacon cheese burger small onion ring. While waiting, the lady cooking had the nastiest attitude towards the servers. First, I heard her say in a disgusting attitude towards a young server, "What does this say!? I can't read this!" I am so serious when say a disgusting tone of voice was used. A simple 'Hey, can you tell me what this says', and no one would blink an eye. Then, when I do get my order, I double-check it. I seen the hamburger had cheese so I told a waitress then I seen 1 box was a large fry and the second was fries with some sort of sandwich (toast like maybe patty melt?) So I told the waitress of that too. She politely told the lady behind the grill. And the older lady flipped her top - literally yelled that it had onion rings and that nothing was wrong she packaged it herself. The girl explained there were 2 fries and the burger had cheese and the old lady then demanded she give her the receipt which she did and insisted she had it right. Finally bringing the boxes back to open herself, she definitely changed out a box and then said the only thing wrong was the cheese - still with the nastiest attitude ever. A miracle must have happened, though, because when I checked everything, that second box was now onion rings and a burger. No toast in sight! Honestly, mistakes happen, so I don't ever care about what changed the whole narrative is the fact that older lady was so disgusting towards the other staff. We have ordered food from here to take home many times and usually it's always been really good. Our family always tries to support local businesses and eateries rather than going to chain restaurants or fast food whenever we can. We stopped in to order food on Wednesday March 7th around 6:30 p.m. we seated ourselves at the counter, and waited for a member of the wait staff to acknowledge us. It was a good 5 minutes before any of the three high school girls who were waiting table that evening asked us if we wanted to order something. I was already feeling a little put off having set there that long without being acknowledged... We ordered our food, and waited for nearly 30 minutes for a hamburger, a chicken sandwich and a pimento cheese sandwich. THIRTY MINUTES . When our food finally did come up, the high school-aged waitperson just handed it to me, did not say thank you, didn't apologize for the lengthy wait, or anything. In the past I have always bragged on this place about their hamburgers whenever someone asks me, " where is a good place to go for a hamburger?" Needless to say, I will not be recommending Eagle's Nest to anyone ever again. This place is a locally-owned business with a repeat customer base, so they probably won't even care if I don't come...
