Its McDonald's.. Not a particularly big fan of the clown but at 3 am on the 4th of July, coming home from the airport, after traveling from San Francisco, it was quite good. But also the clown was the only game in town. So it was adequately good. Now a side bar here. If pulling out onto the main Street here, on a holiday known for its imbibement, at 320 am. Make sure you see the stop sign and come to a smooth and controlled complete stop at said stop sign. Why you ask and how do you know this? Well dear reader you would have thought I had just robbed the noon stage. But I get it. I pulled over ironically in the KFC parking lot and the officer checked us out. I gave him all my credentials and he went back to his car. He came back and let me go with a warning. Now this could have gone a couple of ways. Number 1.. I could have started ranting and waving my arms and cussing at them. Or.. Number 2.. Do as I did and was curious and respectful back at them. Now ask yourself which scenario ends with me on the hot asphalt at 330 on July 4th with a knee in my back and scuffs on my exposed skin? Hint. Its number 1. The police were looking for drunks. I rolled through a stop sign and got pulled. My fault. They were very nice. I was very nice. Everyone went home safe and relaxed. I to enjoy my burger. The officers on to a safe and hopefully uneventful evening. Kudos to the Clover police. That's all....
Read moreThe absolute worst McDonald’s in the country. How they maintain their franchise license is beyond me. The new building with the double drive-thru does nothing but create more of a traffic jam. Most of the time you can't even drive around the building for the backup in the drive-thru line.
I went inside to order my son's Happy Meal after his baseball game on a Tuesday evening after 7pm. I waited so long I decided I may as well book the dining room for his next birthday since it would arrive before his food.
It's absolutely ridiculous how long it takes to get your order and most of the time it's wrong. The tea dispensers are usually empty in the dining room.
I don't know what possessed them to condense the inside registers down to the end of the counter so close. Now when you have twenty people trying to order because it takes so long to get through the line, and they have nowhere to form a line because there's twenty more waiting to be served their food on the other side, you literally stand on top of each other with utter confusion.
In other words the new restaurant exacerbated the problems that already existed with the old restaurant. I do not recommend...
Read moreCasual eateries have become so basic in their design that you can barely tell them apart. Store fronts have no distinction, and dining rooms give a vibe of eating in a corporate lunch room. Branding is non-existent with generic brown napkins and utensils along with no individuality in store designs (McDonalds went from a fun kid friendly place for families to eat to an overpriced low quality food hub that is trying to be a Starbucks). Service across casual dining is also non-existant, making you feel an inconvenience for being a customer. The fast food industry has destroyed their reputation of value pricing and outpriced their business model (You have to order on McDonalds app to get a remotely decent price and the points earned expire in 6 months so you cant bank them). You can get a burger with fries at a full serve restaurant for the cost of a combo, previously known as a value meal. Other than being 24 hours at many locations, there is no reason to go to McDonalds. And now they are doubl8ng down with shrinking their product side. My recent McNugget order...
