We will definitely be going to the location for now on. This saddens me, we spent a lot of time there as teens and have many good memories at the downtown Clovis location, and maybe a few spirits of long lost friends too. You're probably asking why, well I'll tell you. A few months ago we were in the process of moving in 100+ degree weather, and we stopped at the downtown location to eat and cool off. It was hot as hell in their dining area, but we were hot and tired to go somewhere else. While we ordered we noticed 3 huge fans in the kitchen area, and was relieved that the cook wasn't suffering. However, the customers wete, and one woman was even standing under a ceiling fan while eating. I was so hot I felt sick and was not about to eat in these conditions. My husband noticed the thermostat by our table read 98°, so I pointed it out to the owner. His reply was, wait for it, the ceiling fans are on - SERIOUSLY!!! When I referred to the reading on his thermostat he begrudgingly came out to adjust the settings. My daughter said, everyone in the dining room was watching, listening, and looked relieved. Lets just say his attempt to pacify me and argue with me pissed me off. I wanted a refund, but was out voted by my husband and daughter, so we bagged our food up and left. Review of Foster’s Restaurant in Clovis

I had the pleasure of dining at Foster’s Restaurant today, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I opted for the chicken nuggets combo meal, and it did not disappoint. The nuggets were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, accompanied by delicious dipping sauces that elevated the meal.

What truly stood out during my visit was the professionalism of the staff. Every team member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. Their efficiency and warmth made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer.

So, I don't know when their menu actually changed but previously whenever I ordered an Old Fashioned burger I was asked if I wanted cheese or bacon added. I went through the drive thru today, 4/10/21 and ordered three Old Fashioned burgers. When I got to my sister's, well, they had cheese on them. People who are unable to eat cheese may not be aware of this menu change where cheese is apparently included on all their burgers (with an increase in price I'm sure). Needless to say, not happy about the added cheese. I then ordered three small fries, was charged for four and given five small orders. I am a fan of their fries and normally wouldn't say anything about this mistake but the fries were not crisp, a little under cooked. As much as I like Foster's and their cones and fries, I will not be going back to this particular Foster's in Clovis (Shaw and Armstrong). Was also disappointed a while back when they discontinued their slushes. They have previously always given me my receipt with my change but this time they waited until the food was ready and put the receipt in the bag. I definitely would have said something while waiting for my order had I been given my receipt up front...
