More Than Pizza — Restaurant in Clovis

Disappointed in More than Pizza. Last Saturday the 9th at 7:00 pm ( not late for a Saturday)I ordered a pizza through the online ordering at More than pizza. When the conformation was emailed to me it said my order would be available for pick up after 11:00 am on the 10th. I thought it was a glitch so I immediately called them to let them know and see when it would be done. I could not get through after trying repeatedly for over 20 minutes, so I went ahead and drove to the store. When I got there I told them what happened and they informed me that they stopped taking orders because they closed at 8:00 because of Covid. I told them I had been trying to call and was informed they also shut their phones off. When I asked if I could get my pizza since my debit card had already been charged through Square the young man informed me that they were to busy to make my pizza before they closed. I asked him to refund my money then since I wanted to go get dinner somewhere else. He said I’ll text my boss and ask him to handle it because he is in charge of the money. He left me no choice but to leave without Pizza and a refund. The next day I called to follow up and spoke with a lady who was very short with me. She said yeah it’s been handled you will have your money in a couple days. So here we are Thursday of the following week and still no refund in my account. I called the store and asked for the manager. I told him the story and asked if I could just have my pizza at this point. He said that he would put my order in and ask his boss if the refund had been processed yet. He told me my pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. I specifically asked him if this will be a problem because I don’t have my money back yet and I do not want to drive all the way there to find out you want to charge me again. He no it should be fine and if not he would let me know. I then drove to the store to get my pizza. The manager came out and told me his boss ( the owner) text him a picture of the processed refund. I said I still didn’t have my money and he said well I don’t know when it will be in your account. He said his boss said if I want my pizza then I need to pay for it. I told him that I said to him on the phone I did not want to drive down there and have this exact situation happen. He said well I didn’t have your number. Hello! Then he should have asked for it! How was I supposed to know that their system does not save customers information. I told him they could keep their pizza and that I would be no longer eating there. My family has ordered from them at least twice a month for the last 10 years. They have lost very loyal customers. We went to BC tonight instead. This is my go to Pizza place when I'm in Fresno area. I can get a pizza here once a week and it enjoy it. It never seems to get old for me.

What makes a good Pizza? For me its the Crust and Sauce. I love a thin crust pizza nice and crispy and a zesty pizza sauce with an influence of Oregano. More Than Pizza knocks it out of the park with their sauce. I believe its homemade. The crust is just okay as it lacks the crunch I love when I bite down.

The toppings taste fresh to me, as I always order Pepperoni, Black Olives and Fresh Mushrooms. They have comp Jalapenos, Marinara Sauce and Blue Cheese and Parmesan Cheese that you can order on the side.

Theirs not to much seating in here so if you plan on eating I would advise to come early or after rush hours. The restaurant is rather small, as the first thing you see when ordering your Pizza is Boxes stacked to the Ceiling. lol

Oddly their Pizza doesn't come in a Large size. The pizza goes from a 12" to a 16". My advise is go with the Medium (12") and a Small (10"). Avoid ordering the Extra Large (16") as the cut this Pizza in squares because the crust is not strong enough to hold when gathering a piece. (my best guess)

The prices are reasonable for the Quality of the Pizza you get. I am always lefty satisfied

Let me start by saying I have had More Than multiple times and for the most part there pizza is good, but my gosh... The pizza I just received was unbelievable. I made an order for an extra pepperoni well done pizza. After waiting 15 minutes longer than the projected finish time I got my pizza. Arrived home to see that the pizza did not have anywhere close to extra pepperoni, it had EXTRA cheese and was the complete opposite of well done. The pizza was still DOUGHY!!! They didn't even cook the pizza through. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the WORST pizza I have ever had. I checked my receipt thinking I had to have made a mistake, but nope. I NEVER complain about service or food, I'm just not that guy, but this was just too bad to ignore. I tried calling More Than multiple times to advise them about my order, but guess what... They turned their phones off. I will have to call back tomorrow and see if I could receive a refund or some type of credit. I really hope they can make this right and turn me back into a...
