My first order with Great Wall Chinese Cuisine, Clovis let me know that this restaurant has very good food and excellent customer service: A friend really likes this Great Wall restaurant in Clovis so I went online to this restaurant, and ordered for pickup (not delivery). I ordered 3 items: chicken salad, egg foo young, and dinner #3 which contained several items including rice. My order notes asked that ALL rice be replaced with noodles - NO rice (food allergies). Food was ready earlier than expected. The order was well packaged, and smelled so good. At home I opened it and instead of Dinner #3, it was a TON of fried rice, some orange chicken but NO noodles anywhere, and none of the items of Dinner#3 -that I was really hungry for! It is now late Sat night. I called the restaurant, no mgr available. I told the very kind woman the situation. She apologized, said I would have to call Door Dash because order was placed there. I was surprised, did not know this was a Door Dash (DD) order, have never ordered from DD before. Called DoorDash, took way too long, they needed pics, emails etc,. After this very lengthy DD call, I think it is DD order site glitch that provided wrong info to restaurant. I Told DD that I did NOT want a refund, but rather the food I Ordered, but they would only process refund request. The 2 other ordered items, chicken salad and egg foo young were VERY GOOD. Next day (sunday) a Great Wall Cuisine manager called me, asked what they could do for me. I told them about last night’s order. Great Wall offered to provide the Dinner#3 that I ordered but did not receive. I gladly agreed, and drove to pick it up. The restaurant was very apologetic, and was very generous, with the volume of replacement. This Dinner #3 exceeded my expectations and was VERY VERY good. Great Wall Chinese Cuisine is Good Food, Good customer...

Kind people, fair pricing, but absolutely WAY too much food. It’s great if you’re starving for food but even then, it was just a mountain of food. It wasn’t the best quality either, the meat felt kind of fake, the good noodles were under the super slippery ones. But by that time we barely scraped our plates. Our leftovers hardly fit in our to-go boxes!

We also were there during lunch hours on the weekend (Father’s Day on Sunday), their menu told us the times for lunch hours so naturally we ordered lunch specific plates. By the time of payment, they said lunch hours do not count on weekends. So BEWARE they’ll charge more on weekends during lunch hours, and refuse to put it on their menu or let you know until time of the bill!

All in all not the best experience. The food could be much better and portioned correctly, transparency could improve between staff and customers with the lunch times (and to put it on the menu too), they could relocate their front desk with the actual register in the back so it’s in a convenient spot instead of having to run to the kitchen - then back out front 2-3 times for a receipt and change.

Side note: None of us felt good after the food, maybe tons of msg or preservatives in their food? We didn’t even eat our leftovers, so it...

A little bummed from the food. We chose this restaurant because ours was closed for the night and this had good reviews. But I was very disappointed:( I am not really a fan of crispy noodles so they recommended we get Lo mein. I utterly regret it. It was very soupy and mushy and was not appetizing at all. We gave it a try but We had to throw the whole thing out. And I hate throwing food away.

We also ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp, it looked very packed and it was seeping through the packaging but out of the whole thing there were only 8 shrimp? Panda Express’s side of honey walnut shrimp come with 7?! I paid almost $15 for a whole entree and I get only 8 for something I only pay $1.50 more for at Panda? Very disappointing.. the flavor was not all the way there but it was acceptable.

I will say what saved them was the Orange chicken and the Chicken fried rice. Very yummy.

Customer service was very nice over the phone. And my partner said the rest had the old school Chinese restaurant feel to it when he picked up. Probably won’t come here again, maybe just for the fried rice and orange chicken if I...

I unfortunately didnt care for this restaurant. I judge Chinese food on their shrimp and fried rice. Neither worked for me. They do have a great following and continuous customers but there was no flavor and the chop suey chow mein tasted like clumped noodles in flour water sauce. Everything is edible with soy sauce so we doused and were on our way. Unfortunately towards the end of the meal we noticed lipstick prints on the plastic cup. My daughter wasn't wearing lipstick and we wiped with the napkin and the lipstick came off....that doesnt work for me so I wont be back. It then made me accept that my water too was either overly sanitized or had a weird taste in general. Just sharing an honest experience.

They were rather under staffed for the amount of customers but did an okay job. The place was packed and once we received our entrees it was easy to see why. The portions were huge and really good. There are several lunch combo specials that I got a chance to peak at on other tables as we were leaving but I have a MSG allergy so I could not order one. This didn't really matter because the kitchen made my husband and I our choices to order. I got hot and sour soup and Mushu pork both were great. My husband got some sort of sea food, chicken pork and beef dish which was also good. His parents shared the largest plate of shrimp lo mein I've ever seen. Prices were good and food was great.
