Straw Hat Pizza Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Clovis

This was our first time coming here. We had heard good things. We came to watch the Thursday night Steelers game. When we first got there the place was EMPTY. I was worried. We were greated right away by a gentleman behind the bar, we ask if he was going to have the game & he said he would put it on. They had over 20 TV's no matter wear you sit there's a TV. We ordered wing, a beer & a soda. Beer was ice cold & the wings were delicious! They were huge. Later we ordered mozzarella sticks & they were good also. We also ordered a large pizza & let me tell you this was the BEST pizza I ever ate. The toppings were fresh, the crust was light & crispy, oh and did I mention it was piled high with toppings!! I have zero complaints about the food. About 5:00 the place got pretty packed & throughout the night kept pretty busy. Let's talk staff-The staff there was AMAZING!The gentleman man that greated us was super nice but his shifted ended so he introduced us to our new waitress. From the moment we were greated until the time we left they took great care of us. Our waitress was named Jessica & she NEVER let my glass empty, she checked on us a million times making sure we had everything we needed. We also had an gentleman and I hate myself for not getting his name but he was also AMAZING!! They were all so very nice & it was the best customer service I have had in a very long time. Facility- They had a million TV's (over 20) for sure, everywhere you look there is a TV. There is a few claw machines, a pool table, darts, and video games. The place is spotless!! And believe me I look!! The bathrooms were super clean & stocked to the brim. Now I know this is a super long review but this place definitely deserved a great review. I will definitely be back & I have already started telling friends & co-workers...

Tried this place for the first time on the weekends and honestly we were pretty impressed with the Food Quality. At first glance it's your typical "Bar & Grill" type joint but when you walk inside it's actually pretty spacious with tons of cool arcade games for the kids to keep em occupied in the mean time. The Bar has a huge selection of drinks with a couple of house made drinks that are pretty damn good especially the "Fresno Sunrise" Like I had mentioned, the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Wings, Jalapeño Poppers, & House Salad to start and everything came out not only quick but, Hot & Fresh with tons of flavor. We later ordered a Pastrami Sandwich & Personal "The Works" Pizza and again they were so damn good. Plus the portions are huge! This Food was the Major Highlight of the visit, hands down! The service on the other hand, was very Hit N Miss. When we were first sat down, the chick instantly took our drink order (which is great) unfortunately they never came. Lol until our actual server, who I assume is the restaurant manager showed up to take our orders. The dude was extremely nice by the way and super helpful as well. Anyway since he was the only one taking orders he was mostly occupied elsewhere because he had other tables to attend so I mostly had to get up and go to the front desk and ask for napkins, plates, refills, etc. It was a hassle each time to be honest but I kind of didn't mind because they got what I needed instantly. All in all, We will Definitely be returning. especially for their Wings & Sandwhiches. But if your expecting some top notch customer service you may be a bit disappointed. But If you happen to be passing by this place and have no idea what to eat? I'd reccomend dropping in and trying out the hot food. You...

This is the second time we were here and both times the service was so bad! The girls that work up front at register and the server were rude and had no clue what they were doing. After ordering my daughter wanted some candy from there prize station. We went no problems. Asked how many tickets we had left it was over 100. After we ate I took my daughter to go play games. Won more tickets. She wanted another dum dum to go. I waited in line at the prize station literally 15 minutes while they took everyone's order. It was finally my turn. She scans my card and TELLS me I HAVE NO TICKETS! ( her register wasnt working to scan the play card)I tell her we were just and she told us we had still over 100! And I just literally won some more! She told me to go check my tickets on the machine which I did and I had over 240! I go back and wait at the prize station and she makes me wait another 15 mins as she is taking everyone's order. My daughter is here crying over a dum dum lollipop that costs 5 tickets! When she finally came back she said my card was still not working I told her to go scan it her self. Which she did. Then she tells me she has to call the card company because there is something wrong with my card!!!!! At this point I was alrdy irritated. How long is it gonna take to call the card for a 5 ticket dum dum?? After 30 mins from when I first went up to the prize station to when she's gonna call the card?? I understand its a 5 ticket dum dum.but I paid for those tickets so my Daughter can enjoy the experience!! So she should at least be able to get her...
