Would give 0 stars if I could. The combination of incompetence and sheer rudeness would be hard to replicate…so congratulations to the team there for being the worst combination ever. First of all the person at the checkout….apparently devoid of any work ethic required for carrying out simple tasks (more interested in her phone) and even her coworker had to ask her to help (repeatedly in a 5 minute period)…put only 3 out of the 4 items in the bag. There were no other customers there so it wasn’t because of a crowd that she was distracted. I didn’t realize that she hadn’t put the fourth one in there until we got home. So I drove back to the store and see a pita sitting on the counter by the register. I asked them about it and they said this was probably mine. No apologies or acknowledgement of the fact that I drove home and came back because she was too distracted to put it in the bag. As I walked out , the same woman says with an attitude (while checking out her phone…and there are still no other customers around) “iit happens”…really? You were too busy ion your phone to get the order right, didn’t feel the need to even pretend to be remorseful, and are now giving me an attitude even though I’m the one that had to drive back due to your incompetence? I pointed it out to the manager who also seemed least interested and didn’t apologize but offered to “speak to her employee”. Best part…the one pita that she hadn’t put in my bag originally was the vegetarian option I had ordered for my mom. Well she probably handed that to someone else since the one sitting at the counter ended up being chicken. Even as I walked out, she kept giving me an attitude. Absolutely abysmal customer service. Just can’t believe how rude people can be in the service industry. A simple acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused would have made me say “it happens”….and I’d have forgotten about it. But dear lord she was arrogant…. Oh and Ii worked in the fast food industry for many years as a kid and even in college. So I know “it happens”. I couldn’t imagine ever treating a customer that day on my busiest day…and would probably have been fired on the...
Read moreBeware surprise fees! I am new to Cava, and the employees were very helpful with walking me through the menu and options for a build-it-yourself bowl, (much like Chipotle or Nally Fresh have). I was careful to only select items that would not cost extra as I chose ingredients from each category they offered. But when they rung me up, there was an unexpected fee for the meats that I chose! Nowhere in the entire store does it have the extra price posted, nor did any of the employees explain the surcharge totaling $4 that was going to show up on my bill! I discussed with the manager who offered to give me chips or a drink, but claimed that he could not refund the surcharge off of my order. He offered to return (not refund) my entire order and to make me new food so that I could choose meat that doesn’t have an extra fee (only the plain chicken does not have this fee by the way), but I was short on time and had to go. Look, the food is good. But people are going to be angry when they are slapped with...
Read moreThis seems to be a newer location. Food was good. It was clean but tables inside and outside were dirty. Portions sizes are small, even smaller for toppings. They are always upcharging for meats without informing the customers of additional charges. The Cava irrespective of locations will most likely charge you more than what the displayed price is. I highly recommend asking if there is any additional charges for meat. I was surprised that they told me lamb was $4 additional. So I asked for spicy chicken and they didn't inform me that there was an upcharge for it. They just charged me more. I feel like this is a scam where they charge you more without informing the customer. There is lack of transparency when it comes to pricing. This has happened to me now 3 times. For this reason, I'll likely try and avoid...
