I have been an Eileen Fisher shopper for years, both online and in store, and at department stores. I live within driving distance of this company store and previously had good experiences. Today, it was an awful experience and I will not return. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because I still like the brand and the clothes as a whole, even though the treatment was pretty terrible. I literally left over $300 worth of merchandise on the counter.
First, the staff was incredibly rude and tried to direct me to sizes that were two and three times larger than I wear. I know what size I wear. I'm not a tiny person, but I'm not an elephant either, but it was offensive especially when it's a size inclusive brand. Second, the woman would not even check me out. I had to ask for permission to purchase and she proceeded to explain that I should try things on because I can't return them. Cool, you already told me. I also am able to read. The woman proceeded to refuse to check me out, and I eventually told her that I did not want to purchase and left. I also had old clothes to turn in, and the brand encourages you to turn them in in any condition. My things definitely had rips, holes, bleach spots and some stains, but some of these things were over 8 years old. She gave me a stern look and told me that I needed to wash clothes before I brought them in next time. I informed her that they had been washed, but they were simply very old and worn out. If the brand does not want to take old clothes in any condition, then it should not advertise that. I have spent a lot of money at the brand over the years and I will never return to this location. The behavior was rude, judgmental, and offensive.

You as an assistant manager attitude was so nasty and to say the least, I was appalled to realize I purchase a pillow with a slight orange stain on it and he sadly took off 34 cent. All I could do is shake my head. However, that was not the problem at all, his attitude was the problem and his customer service skills lacked there of needs a huge improvement. Let me be the one to see if corporate, can make any adjustments for him. I know that customers spend a lot of money in Burlington on a daily and I'm one of those customers. Just to think that you have people in here working with such bad attitudes and to know that customers keep you employed blows me away. You have got do better, and learn to deal with customers like you love your job because, there are a million people that would appreciate having your pisition and would do right by the customers...
Read moreEileen Fisher is very interesting. This one is an outlet store, with beautiful clothing to fit everyone's budget. Not sure what the business model is called, but price reductions correlate with length of time an item is on the sales floor. No worries about trying to decipher my explanation...the sales team is exceptional, and happy to give you, literally a tour of the store's layout, and what to me, was the unique pricing. I have yet to make a purchase, but most assuredly will visit Eileen Fisher on my next buying adventure....
