This place is an absolute horrible experience and I'm saying this is somebody who has been to other First Watch locations not only is this the worst of all the first watch locations it's probably the worst restaurant I've been to in the state of Maryland. First of all the manager I'm not sure what his name is but he's a bigger black guy he has a horrible attitude and everybody that comes in he treats with total disdain and disrespect. He always looks miserable and if you ask him a question he has an attitude like he's going above and beyond to answer it for you. The Waitresses have no clue what they are doing I tried to order a simple breakfast sandwich like a sausage egg and cheese on the waitress actually told me they don't have that. I thought you was joking I was like what do you mean you don't have sausage egg and cheese and she said we don't have a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and I said well it might not be on the menu but you can make one right and she said no we can't make one. I told her well how about I just order this sandwich that comes with bacon and turkey and all the extras but I just removed the turkey and bacon and I just keep the sausage egg and cheese... She goes go "yeah we could do that". I asked her well "it's not going to be the same price right because I'm not getting turkey or avocado or any of the other extras I just want the sausage egg and cheese".... She said "No we still have to charge you for the turkey and avocado even though you aren't getting it". WHAT???? Then she asked the manager if they can make just "sausage egg and cheese sandwich" and he acted annoyed and...
Read moreWe popped in here on our 1 hour break on a Monday a little after noon. There was only one hostess who was checking out customers and responsible for seating arriving guests as well.
We had to wait a bit as the checkout line continued to grow with customers finishing up and wanting to pay & leave. We grabbed a waitress we saw and asked her to assist, she declined and stated “the hostess will seat you when she’s done”. So we wait…another customer comes in after us asks us if we’ve been waiting, talked about the long check out line and stated she would asked one of the waitresses to assist, we explained to her that we tried that as well but she was free to try. Well what do you know, the customer behind us flagged a waitress, she asked for help with getting us seated and she responded immediately…hmmm….we were seated and able to order. It was pretty chilly sitting under a vent so we changed tables. I was underwhelmed with the entire experience. Our waitress was okay, my sandwich came out wrong, I don’t eat pork and they definitely bought me a sandwich with ham…it was replaced but meh, I think I will need a do over at this establishment because I’ve heard/read some good reviews. The tomato basil soup was not as creamy as I’d like but it was okay, chunky but okay. The silver lining was the lemon blueberry cornbread, it was yummy but not piping hot as the server indicated. As stated, I’ll need to go back and try this again at...
Read moreA restaurant with spacious seating and tables, very inviting decor and ambiance, and very busy and intuitive staff. I opted for the Chile Chorizo omelette with a side of potatoes, and a separate carrot cake & pecan, multi-grain pancake. Firstly, the potatoes were made with perfect savory flavor, the pancake was indeed massive, but delicious and fluffy; but the omelette didn't hit the mark. It was good, but compared to the potatoes and pancake, it wasn't up there with it. It can use some work in terms of everything being held inside together. Flavor-wise, it's a good omelette with veggies and avocado, but not as much chorizo as one might expect.
We ordered the tri-fecta meal wwith a waffle and that was completely devoured. We also ordered French toast and that was very delicious. The side of sausage was sweet and savory, unlike many diners or restaurants that we've been to. You must try it.
Our server was very nice and knew when to stop by to check on us. She knew we'd need a to-go box and brought it out. We never felt rushed or burdened. We really...
